DUI
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP -- On Aug. 7, at approximately 9:41 p.m., state police at Lamar initiated a traffic stop on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, police said.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, of Bidwell, Ohio, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was transported from the scene to PSP Lamar for a chemical test, according to state police.
The driver refused the chemical test and was transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, police said.
This investigation is ongoing.
DUI
BLANCHARD -- State police at Lamar initiated a traffic stop in Liberty Township on Aug. 3, at approximately 9:23 p.m., police said.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old Lock Haven man, was under the influence of alcohol, according to state police.
The driver was taken into custody pending a legal breath test, police said.
This investigation is ongoing.
Driver falls asleep
MILL HALL -- A single vehicle was involved in an accident that occurred on July 24, at approximately 5:57 a.m., as a 17-year-old Lock Haven boy, was traveling south on Fairground Road, near its intersection with Heckmans Gap Road when he fell asleep, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle then left the west side of the roadway, striking a roadside ditch, fence, utility pole and gate, police said.
No injuries were reported in the crash and recovery was provided by Showcase Towing.
Neighbor dispute
RENOVO -- Charges against Allen Anderson, 21, of Renovo, were filed through District Judge Frank Mills' office following a report of a disturbance between neighbors on July 29, at approximately 7:49 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.
Through investigation, it was determined that Anderson grabbed the victim, a 9-year-old Renovo boy, by the shirt/neck, causing a small red scratch, police said.
Assault with a weapon
WOOLRICH -- State police at Lamar responded to an address along Woodward Avenue in Pine Creek Township on Aug. 10, at approximately 4:32, for a domestic no longer in progress, police said.
Allegedly, the arrestee, Logan Baker, 43, of Jersey Shore, held the victim against her will, physically assaulted her, stole her cellphone, wallet, car/house keys and destroyed several items in her home, as well as vandalized her vehicle, police said.
Baker fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers, police said.
Man threatens officers
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar attempted to serve a mental health warrant to a 55-year-old Mill Hall man on Aug. 21, at approximately 8:44 a.m., when the man armed himself with a 3-foot long crowbar and attempted to strike a trooper in the head with the pointed end through the front door window, police said.
A perimeter was set around the residence and attempts to hail the man out of the residence were negative, police said.
A line of communication was established with the individual who refused to cooperate and began threatening the lives of troopers and other responding law enforcement, according to police.
After approximately two hours, the man was taken into custody and transported to UPMC Williamsport for a mental health evaluation, police said.
State police at Lamar were assisted on scene by Lock Haven City PD and Mill Hall PD.
Theft
FLEMINGTON -- An unknown actor utilized deceptive means to contact Goodwill Hose Fire Company and make changes to their payroll account totaling $1,470.89 on Aug. 3, at approximately 8:50 a.m., according to state police at Lamar.
The investigation is ongoing.
Drug possession
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar were dispatched to Central Mountain High School on Aug. 28, at approximately 12:14 p.m., for a student found to be in possession of a THC vape cartridge, police said.
It was related that the vape detection system went off in the girls bathroom and a subsequent search found the student to be in possession of the vape, according to police.
