Prayer Shawl Ministry to meet

MILL HALL — The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at noon for their regular meeting and lunch. In addition to their meeting, the group will welcome Jennifer Hagaman, director of the Clinton County Veterans Affairs office, representing the county’s MilitaryShare Program.

Shawls, afghans, hats and scarves will be donated to this local group.

Ham and chicken pot pie sale

BELLEFONTE — Bald Eagle Valley Community Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, will be holding a ham and chicken pot pie sale on Monday, Nov. 8 from 4 p.m. until gone.

The cost will be $8 per quart of either ham or chicken pot pie and include bread. The event will be drive-thru only in the church parking lot.

Veteran’s Prayer for America

JERSEY SHORE — The 18th annual Veteran’s Prayer for America will be held Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church, 235 S. Main St., Jersey Shore.

The service will feature the Fair Play Brass, Jersey Shore Honor Guard, ecumenical pastors and patriotic music. This year’s guest speaker is Army Specialist E-4, Nadine Willits. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

Lasagna Dinner

JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church, 235 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, is having their annual lasagna dinner on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. This is a take out only event.

Orders will be taken at the Thompson Street entrance and picked up at the entrance to the back parking lot. Dinners include salad, bread, lasagna and dessert. The dinner is $9 for adult and $5 for children under 6 years of age.

The Craguns in Concert

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will host The Craguns in a free concert on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. The Craguns are a national touring Gospel group. They have performed in some of the largest venues and on some of the largest radio and television shows in gospel music. A love offering will be received for The Craguns. Thanksgiving Eve service

HUBLERSBURG — A Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held on Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Reformed in Hublersburg.

Soup sale

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will be holding a take-out only soup sale on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out.

Soups available will be chili, stuffed pepper, vegetable, chicken noodle, ham and bean, beef vegetable, ham grean beans and potatoes, meatball with pasta and vegetables and cost $7 per quart.

Spaghetti dinner

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will be holding a take-out only spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the meal is a donation.

Light the Night

BELLEFONTE — Freedom Life Kids invites families to attend Light the Night at the Freedom Life Centre County Campus on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 6 until 8 p.m. It will be a safe and fun environment for children in 5th Grade and younger,and their families to enjoy games, activities, sweet treats and free food.

“We’ve always loved this event and we’re so excited to be bringing it back after not being able to host it last year,” said Pastor Josh Simonetti. “In the past we’ve organized it at the school, but due to the mask mandate, we’ve moved the location to our church building. We’re not disappointed. It’ll still be a good time with the bounce house and carnival games that the little ones love so much!”

Food Drive

LOCK HAVEN — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will be collecting food items for the Clinton County Women’s Center. Because of the COVID pandemic, clients are being housed in hotels and food that can be microwaved or served without cooking would be greatly appreciated.

The collected items are as follows: Oct. 31 will be pop tarts and Nov. 17 collection will be juice. Please, no out of date or glass items.

Daddy/daughter costume dance

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will be holding a daddy/daughter costume dance on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.
