Vacation Bible School

FLEMINGTON — Flemington First Church of Christ will hold its Vacation Bible School, “Hayday” from Thursday, June 9 to Friday, June 10 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The program is open to children potty-trained up to fifth grade.

Free Picnic Thanking

Moms and Dads

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will be holding a free picnic to thank Moms and Dads on Sunday, June 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants may eat inside the church, outside or take home. The meal will consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, variety of salads, baked beans, chips, desserts, coffee or water.

Reservations are not necessary, but with a reservation you will receive a goodie bag! Please call 814-625-2182 to RSVP.

Soup sale

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will host a take-out only soup sale on Saturday, May 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out.

The cost per quart is $8 and the soups available will be Chili, stuffed pepper, chicken noodle, ham and bean, beef vegetable, ham green bean and potato, Italian meatball and chicken corn.

Spring concert

WILLIAMSPORT — The Williamsport Flute Choir will be having its Spring Concert on Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 604 Market St., Williamsport.

Admission is free but donations are cheerfully accepted.

The choir is playing music from Sousa, Debussy, Rossini and more.

Primary Day Dinner

JERSEY SHORE — Primary Election Day Dinner (Clair D. Thompson Memorial) at the First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore on Tuesday, May 17 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Take-out only meals will be available for $9, with tickets sold at the door. Pick up will be on the Thompson Street side of the church. Walk-ins will be taken at the back door.

The menu will consist of baked ham, sweet potato, vegetable, cole slaw, roll/butter, applesauce and cake.

Soup sale

FLEMINGTON — Flemington First Church of Christ will be holding a soup sale on Sunday, May 15. Soups cost $6 per quart and are chicken corn and potato. Orders can be made by calling the church office at 570-726-8009.

Bible Study

FLEMINGTON — Flemington First Church of Christ is holding “Between Two Trees” Bible study starting Sunday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Free Flea

LOCK HAVEN — St. Paul’s Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven will hold its Free Flea Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everything is free although donations are always accepted.

Pork and sauerkraut dinner

RENOVO — First Renovo United Methodist Church, 8th Street, Renovo, will hold a pork and sauerkraut dinner for its Second Monday Dinner on May 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal will be drive-up only and feature pork and sauerkraut, mashed spuds, hot dog, applesauce, dessert for $11.

Preorder between 2 to 4 p.m. by calling 570-923-1313 or pick up after 4 p.m. by entering the alley from 8th Street to the church’s back porch.

Yard and bake sale

BEECH CREEK — Laurel Run United Methodist Church, 2899 Laurel Run Road, Beech Creek will hold a yard and bake sale on Friday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The church will be serving food, drinks and baked goods.

Yard and Bake Sale

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be having a Yard and Bake Sale. The sale will be held Friday, May 13 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturday, May 14, 9 a.m. until noon. The kitchen will be serving food, on Friday only, during the yard and bake sale.

Please tell your friends and family to come and shop at the sale.

Ham and Turkey Dinner

WILLIAMSPORT — Immaculate Conception Parish Center, 5973 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, will hold a Country Style Ham and Turkey Dinner on Sunday, May 22 from noon to 6 p.m.

The meal will be curbside pick-up only and cost $11 each.

In-person services

The churches in the Nittany Valley Charge UCC congregations have returned to in-person worship.

Mt. Bethel/Salona continue to alternate Sunday services at each church.

Sunday services at Mt. Bethel and Salona are at 9 a.m. Emmanuel UCC at Jacksonville is at 10:30 a.m.

Paster Cindy Killinger and the congregations welcome all to join Sunday worship service.

Youth Group

FLEMINGTON — Flemington First Church of Christ’s Youth Group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The program is offered for kids in grades Kindergarten through twelve.
