Drive-up meal
RENOVO -- First Renovo Church will hold a drive-up pulled pork dinner on Monday, July 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The meal will consist of a pulled pork sandwich, pasta salad, baked beans, BBQ auce, creamy slaw and a dessert for $11. Call ahead from 2 to 4 p.m. to place your order at 570-923-1313 or just drive up.
Please enter from 8th Street and come to the church's back porch between 4 to 6 p.m.
Vacation Bible School
OVAL -- Oval United Methodist Church, 6796 S. Route 44 Hwy., Jersey Shore, will host its Vacation Bible School on Sunday, July 24 through Thursday, July 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The program is for children ages 4 through seventh grade. This year's theme is "Joy to the World" where children will journey with Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.
Ice cream social
LOGANTON -- The Nittany/Sugar Valley United Methodist Charge will hold its annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 23 at the Booneville Campground from 4-7 p.m.
Various flavors of homemade ice cream and different kinds of homemade pies will be available. Hot sausage sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will also be available. Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the event.
Come and join members for an evening of fellowship, music, and great food!
Child Evangelism
Fellowship 5-Day Club
BEECH CREEK -- Child Evangelism Fellowship is hosting a 5-Day Club at Beech Creek Wesleyan Church from July 18-22 from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. for children ages 5-13.
5-Day Club is an exciting, fun-filled hour and a half. It includes dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, meaningful songs, and more. Children will meet at the pavilion. Please contact Evelyn at 814-380-3493 to register your child.

Vacation Bible School
JERSEY SHORE -- Join members of St. John Lutheran Church, for a community Vacation Bible School July 18-21 from 6-8 p.m. each evening at the church, 229 South Broad Street, Jersey Shore.
Registration will be on Sunday, July 17, from 6-7:30 p.m. Ice cream and popcorn will be available to all families Sunday evening, July 17. This is for all children ages 3-12. Bring your children, your grandchildren, invite your neighborhood children as we learn about God's love through stories, songs, crafts, and games.
Theme is Discovery on Adventure Island.
Christmas in July
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, will hold a Christmas in July service on July 10 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
The church is handicap accessible with plenty of parking in the rear of the church.
The church will be celebrating Christmas in July because Mary, the Lord's mother, at that point in time was three months pregnant. She went to see her Aunt Elizabeth who was expecting also and the mothers-to-be were joyful months before their children's arrival.
Those who would like to join in the celebration are asked to consider wearing Christmas colors. The sanctuary will be decorated and Christmas carols will be sung.
Walk by Faith
LOCK HAVEN -- The next "Walk by Faith" scheduled walk is on July 13 at 6 p.m. at the levee in Lock Haven. Meet at Covenant United Methodist Church or call Fran Decker at 570-748-4302 or 570-263-2084 if you wish to carpool or need further information.
You can walk at your own pace, get lots of fresh air and fellowship with one another while enjoying the beauty of God's creation. You do not need to register-just show up on the scheduled dates and bring a friend!
Worship change
The churches in the Nittany Valley Charge UCC has changed its worship times. Emmanuel UCC at Jacksonville will worship at 9 a.m. and Mt. Bethel and Salona will worship at 10:30 a.m. Mt. Bethel/Salona continue to alternate Sunday services at each church. This scheduled time will continue until the first Sunday in June 2023.
Pastor Cindy Killinger and the congregations welcome all to join Sunday worship service.
Change in
service times
FARRANDSVILLE -- The People's United Methodist Church of Farrandsville will be changing its service times beginning the first Sunday in July.
The service will be held at 8:30 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. to allow Pastor Jack Hocker time to travel to another church where he is providing his services.
Youth Group
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ's Youth Group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The program is typically offered for kids in grades Kindergarten through twelve. For the summer months it will be offered to those in grades 5 through 12.
