Rummage sale

LOCK HAVEN -- United Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a rummage sale today from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Roads to Peace (Clinton County Women's Center) and St. Paul's Food Pantry.

Laurel Run UMC cookbooks

BEECH CREEK -- The Laurel Run United Methodist Church in Beech Creek is gathering recipes from friends, families and members of the church. The church would love for you to share your favorite recipe or recipes to be in its first ever cookbook.

Feel free to add short tidbits or stories you recall about the church. Maybe a favorite pastor or an event you attended. These will also be a part of the cookbook. Please remember to include your name and phone number in case there are questions. Recipes and stories can be emailed to LRUMCINFO@gmail.com or mailed to the Laurel Run UMC, 2899 Laurel Run Road, Beech Creek, PA 16822.

If hand writing the recipe(s), please print. Call Paula at 814-359-3459 for any questions. Cookbooks will be ready for purchase just in time for Christmas.

Youth Group

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ's Youth Group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The program is typically offered for kids in grades Kindergarten through twelve. For the summer months it will be offered to those in grades 5 through 12.

Vacation Bible School

ANTES FORT -- Vacation Bible School -- "Monumental -- Celebrating God's Greatness," will be held beginning Sunday, Aug. 7 through Thursday, Aug. 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Antes Fort United Methodist Church, Main Road in Antes Fort. VBS will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Registration begins at 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 7. Classes are available to those from three years old to eighth grade.

Flemington First Church

MILL HALL -- The Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall has announced the following:

Church office hours will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Mondays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays. Morning worship will held at 8:45 a.m. on Sundays.

Additionally, Youth Group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday nights. For the summer months, it is only for those in grades five through 12.

Sunday evening Bible study, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be on the book of Joel. This Sunday is the final week for it.

Blood Drive

FLEMINGTON -- St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Flemington will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. They are honored to be able to provide an opportunity for donors to participate in this blood drive. The American Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage. Their donors will be able to help many patients who are in dire need of blood and blood products. To schedule an appointment for the St. Luke's drive go online to register at www.redcross.org and select Give Blood.

Peach Festival

AVIS -- A Peach Festival featuring home made ice cream will be held at Phelps Chapel UMC off the Pine Creek exit of US220 today starting at 11 a.m. Hot dogs, hamburg BBQ, macaroni salad and dessert will be available.
