Drive-up Dinner
RENOVO -- First United Methodist Church, 7th Street, Renovo, is having a roast beef dinner on Monday, Sept. 12, from 4-6 p.m.
The dinner includes slow roasted, succulent and tender roast beef, accompanied by mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans with an assortment of homemade desserts. The cost will be $12.
Pre-orders can be called in using 570-923-1313 between 2-4 p.m. with pickup being from 4-6 p.m.
Please enter from 8th Street and come to the back porch of the church to claim your orders.
Serving will continue until 6 p.m., unless the food runs out.
Authentic Navajo taco sale
MILL HALL -- Living Faith Ministries, 7175 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, will host a Southwest Authentic Navajo Taco Sale on Saturday, Sept. 10. The benefit will start at 10:30 a.m. and will continue while supplies last. The cost is $10 for a large taco and drink, $3 for a large fried bread with honey.
All proceeds will help a local family bring their deceased brother's remains from Houston, Texas to Howard, Pa.
Proclaiming His word
HOWARD -- Curtin United Methodist Church, 305 Curtin Village Road, Howard, will host "Proclaiming His Word" with Gwen Mouliert on Friday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 17, at 9:20 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 18, at 8 a.m.
Gwen is a celebrated speaker, author and teacher. For over 30 years she has ministered across North America, Europe and Africa.
Gwen uses a blend of sound practical biblical teaching, along with humorous life-lessons. She has a passion to equip believers in finding hope and restoration through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

Basket raffle, car show
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ will hold its Second Annual Kerry Clausen Basket Raffle and Classic Car Show on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 12 to 5 p.m. A rain date is planned for Sunday, Sept. 25, from 12 to 5 p.m.
There will be a basket raffle, classic cars to view, food and Kidz@Heart will perform live.
Proceeds will benefit Rachel Ellis.
Family sing-along
DUNNSTOWN -- The Dunnstown United Methodist Church will hold a family sing-along on Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone that loves singing good Christian songs is invited to come and participate with members. The first songs played will be for the younger participants in case the parents wish to cut out early.
Soup Sale and Luncheon
HOWARD -- The Howard United Methodist Church will sponsor a community soup sale on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eat in or take out.
Pre-orders for quarts of soup should be placed before Sept. 12 by contacting Patti Long at 814-625-2182.
Soup comes in freezable containers and the cost is $7 for lunch or quarts of soup.
Proceeds from soup sales are designated towards local missions in the area. Invite a friend, come for lunch and enjoy a time of good food and fellowship while supporting a worthy cause.

Cars n Guitars Bonanza
AVIS -- Grace Fellowship Church, 19 W. Ridge St., Avis, will be hosting its annual Cars n Guitars Bonanza on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The event will feature hot rods and classic cars, live music with Rocket Blasters, concessions by CB's Bites, raffles, give aways, choice awards and much more.

Pay it forward
MILL HALL -- Hosted at Cedar Heights Brethren in Chruch Church in Mill Hall along Route 64, Pay it Forward Exchange/Giveaway has been holding a yearly event for 10 years, giving away kids' clothing, shoes, toys, books, gear and more to area families.
This year's event will be on Oct. 1. To celebrate the 10th birthday of Pay it Forward, a party is planned complete with an inflatable slide, activities, food, and, of course, the clothing and gear giveaway.
Pre-event donations of gently used kids' clothing may be dropped off at Avenue 209, the Lock Haven YMCA or Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church (under the carport).

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds Coffee Club every Thursday from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
Youth group
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds its fall Youth Group meetings on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The group is open to grades kindergarten through fourth and fifth through twelfth.
The meeting starts off each Thursday with a meal, followed by a lesson and game time.
