Recycling help

Now the church plans to start collecting plastic bags that will be recycled and made into a second bench for the church yard.

Through Trex Recycling, the church team needs to collect more than 500 pounds of plastic (that's about 40,500 plastic bags), and then Trex will donate a high-performance composite bench to the church. So, keep saving towards the second bench goal that will be run for the next several months.

Plastic being collected are grocery bags, dry cleaning bags, Ziploc bags of all sizes, bread bags (turn inside out to dump out the bread crumbs), plastic wrap taken from cases of water, toilet paper and paper towels, shrink wrap and bubble wrap. Plastics must be clean and dry, and can be dropped off to Donna who lives near the Yarnell UM Church. Call Donna first at 814-880-9450 to make arrangements so that she can collect your bags and place them in a dry storage area.
