Blanchard Church of Christ to perform ‘King of Kings’ Easter drama
BLANCHARD — The Blanchard Church of Christ invites you to join its members for its 27th Annual Theatrical Production, and be one of the tens of thousands who have encountered the Gospel through the King of Kings Easter Drama.
It is a 2-Act musical performance by a cast of over 100 BCC members on a completely transformed and multi-level stage. Come and experience the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ through drama, narrations, creative portrayal of biblical prophecies, song and dance, a live animal or two and more. Those interested can choose from six nights to attend!
Free childcare will be provided for each performance!
New this year: visit one of the 8 local restaurants the church is partnering with to receive a special promotion when you show your drama ticket.
Enjoy greek food, gourmet sandwiches, the best fries in the area, homey bakeries, breakfast buffets, delicious and unique meals made by talented chefs, local coffee shops with delicious treats, bubble teas, amazing pizza and subs, and so much more when you visit one of the participating businesses on a drama performance day.
Restaurants taking part in the discount dining are: Avenue 209 Coffee House, Brother’s in Beech Creek, Dutch Haven Restaurant, Leo’s Italian & Specialty Foods, Main Street Grill, Oddfella, Stella A’s and Twin Run Farm Bakery.
There are six performances for you to choose from. They include March 24, 25, 26 and 31 and April 1and 2. Friday and Saturday shows’ prelude begins at 6:15 p.m. with performances starting at 7 p.m. Sunday matinee shows begin at 3 p.m. with a 2:15 p.m. prelude.
To reserve your free tickets in advance please call the church office Monday-Friday during business hours at (570) 962-2423. You may also reserve them at a table in the lobby of our church on Sunday mornings.
“We encourage you to not wait to reserve your tickets as we anticipate some of these nights filling up rather quickly,” a release from BCC said.
Please note that your tickets guarantee you a seat until 6:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays or 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. This is why the church has a prelude that begins 45 minutes before the performance starts for you to enjoy. It consists of vocal, dance & instrumental sharings by the church family.
