Pot Pie Sale

RUNVILLE -- Bald Eagle Valley Community UM Church will have a homemade pot pie sale on Monday, March 13. Your choice of either ham or chicken pot pie with homemade bread available at $8 a quart. Pre-orders can be called in to Janette at 814-883-0893. Pickup starts at 4 p.m. at the church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte (located directly behind the Wingate Sheetz). Walk-in sales welcomed at 4 p.m. until sold out.

Spaghetti Dinner

JERSEY SHORE -- Oriole Church, 39 Main Road, Jersey Shore, will be hosting a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, March 18, from 4-7 p.m.

Ticket prices are $6.50 for adults; $4 for ages 3-12; and under 3 eat free. Dine-in or take-out meals available.

Drive up pulled pork

RENOVO -- First Renovo Church is having their drive up pulled pork dinner on Monday, March 13, from 4-6 p.m. The meal includes a pulled pork sandiwhc, mac salad, baked beans, BBQ sauce, pepper slaw and desert for $12.00 (BBQ and slaw on the side). Gospel Hymn Sings

DUNNSTOWN -- Dunnstown United Methodist Church will be having two Christian gospel hymn sings. The first hymn sing will be held on Wednesday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the church. On Sunday, March 19, at the church, Twisted Racquet Tears will be the featured band for a hymn sing from 2-3:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend; however, monetary donations will be accepted to be given to the Salvation Army to help with their services during the upcoming Easter season.

St. Luke's to hold Soup Sale

FLEMINGTON -- St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding a soup sale on Saturday, March 11, from 9 a.m.-noon. Soup will cost $7 a quart and will be available for take out only. Flavors of soup are vegetable beef, chicken corn and ham and bean. Orders may be placed by calling the church at 570-748-5741 before March 9.

Annual Spring Bazaar

JERSEY SHORE -- St. James Lutheran Church located at 3242 Middle Road, Jersey Shore, will hold its annual Spring Bazaar on Saturday, March 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The general public can purchase a hot lunch, homemade soups, hamburg BBQ and hot dogs as well as homemade bake goods including pies, cakes, cookies, fudge, brownies and more.

There will also be an assortment of items from their white elephant table, including collectibles and numerous bric-a-brac items.

The church also invites you to attend their regular worship service every Sunday at 10 a.m.

Easter Bible Studies

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ will hold Sunday Night, Easter Bible Studies from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Sunday, March 5, and running each week through April 2.

Doughnut Sale

JERSEY SHORE -- Fresh Homemade Doughnuts will be available from the Trinity UM Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, on Thursday, March 16. The cost will be $6/dozen or $3 for half dozen. It is best to pre-order by calling 570-398-2913, Monday – Friday only from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Walk-in sales will also be available from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the day of the sale or until sold out. Pick-ups and walk-ins should use the Glover Street Entrance.

Revival

LOCK HAVEN -- Lock Haven First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, will host a revival March 12-15 at 6 p.m. nightly with Ryan Martin, a disciple on fire. During a time of confusion, his goal is to reignite the church. Everyone is welcome to come. There is lots of free parking.

Soup Sale & Luncheon

HOWARD -- The Howard United Methodist Church will sponsor a community soup sale on Thursday, March 16, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Eat in or take outs available. Dine-in lunch includes soup, rolls, dessert and beverage for $7. Take out quarts of soup (vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn or chicken noodle) are available in freezable containers. Pre-orders for quarts of soup should be made by the Sunday prior to luncheon by contacting Patti Long at 814-625-2182.

Proceeds from soup sales are designated to local missions in the area. Invite a friend, come for lunch and enjoy a time of good food and fellowship while supporting a worthy cause!

This will be the last soup sale and luncheon until the fall months, so come out and get yours and stock up on take-outs to enjoy later.

Howard United Methodist Church is located at 144 W. Main St., Howard.

Thank you to those who supported the soup sale in February. Proceeds from that soup sale allowed the church to donate $2,000 to a local woman and her grandson who experienced a fire recently that destroyed their mobile home and its contents.

Lenten fish fries

LOCK HAVEN -- Holy Spirit Parish will be holding their annual Lenten fish fries at the parish center, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven.

This year's fries will be drive-thru only. The meal will consist of baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, bread and a dessert for $15.

The fish fry will take place every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Lent except on Good Friday.

Sing alongs

MILL HALL -- Covenant United Methodist Church holds sing-alongs the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Each runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary and features old favorites. The public is invited. Songbooks are provided with Kay Bossert leading and Pam Blesh playing the piano.

Coffee club

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds Coffee Club every Thursday morning from 8:30-10 a.m.

Youth group

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds its Youth Group meetings on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. The group is open to grades kindergarten through fourth and also fifth through twelfth. The meeting starts off each Thursday with a meal, followed by a lesson and game time. Call 570-726-8009 for more details.
