Jesus is the way

The way to come to God is through Jesus Christ!

In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

While on Earth 2,000 years ago, Jesus was fully God and fully man. Jesus came to Earth to forgive our sins, make a way for us to have a personal relationship with Him, and for us to inherit eternal life.

Jesus became the perfect sacrifice and died on the cross as payment for all the sins of humanity. He came to reveal that the salvation of God is available to every person. He also came to enable us to enter the kingdom of God and to be a part of the body of Christ.

Jesus did not just come to show us the way of salvation, but to also be the way of salvation. He came to deliver us from the wrath of God and eternal damnation and instead have eternal life with Him. Jesus came to show us the love, grace and mercy of God.

In John 10:9-10, Jesus said, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

In John 3:16, He said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

And in Acts 4:12, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

Jesus invites us to come to know Him and His salvation. God made salvation available to all of us by sending His Son Jesus to die for our sins and be our Savior. We can only know Him by receiving Jesus as our personal Savior.

All we need to do is open our hearts to Jesus; and ask Him to come into our hearts and repent of our sins. He will respond to us by His Spirit in our hearts. Our surrender to Him enables God's love and grace to flow into our hearts.

Ephesians 2:8-9 tell us "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast."

John 1:12-13 "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

You can receive Jesus by faith in your heart through prayer. God knows our hearts, and is not so concerned about the words spoken, but rather the attitude of heart.

The following is a simple suggested prayer:

"Dear Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my heart and my life and receive you as my Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Help me be the kind of person You want me to be. Thank you for your precious love!"
