Vacation Bible School

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper St., is offering Vacation Bible School for ages 3 through 5th grade. Come bring your friends. Learn interesting Bible stories, play games, enjoy snacks, meet new kids and just have fun.

Yard and Bake Sale

JERSEY SHORE — Jersey Shore Assembly of God Church, 172 Main St., Antes Fort, is having a yard and bake sale on Saturday, June 3. Donations will benefit the Women’s Ministry.

Spring Festival

PINE CREEK — Phelps Chapel Church will have a Spring Festival on Saturday, June 3, beginning at 11 a.m.

Homemade ice cream, hamburg bbq, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad and desserts will be available. The church can be found using the Pine Creek Exit off Route 220.

Bible School

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will be having Vacation Bible School on June 4-8, from 6-8 p.m. each evening. The VBS is for ages 3 through teens. Pre-registration is available at www.beeckcreekwesleyan.org or by calling the church office at 570-962-2732.

Free Picnic

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church is offering a free picnic thanking moms and dads on Sunday, June 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church located at 144 W. Main St., Howard. Hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, salads, chips, desserts and drinks will be served free of charge, to eat with church members either inside or outside at the church or to take out to enjoy elsewhere. Spring Hymn Sing

The Nittany Valley Fellowship of Churches will hold its annual Spring Hymn Sing at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, at Walker Township Park. It is a free event and all are invited to attend!

The Nittany Valley Fellowship is made up of churches in the Nittany Valley that includes Lamar and Porter townships in Clinton County and Marion and Walker townships in Centre County. It is interdenominational, and its purpose is to serve the needs of the region and support the work of individual churches.

VBS – Pets Unleashed!

FLEMINGTON – Flemington First Church of Christ will offer Vacation Bible School: “Pet’s Unleashed”! for K-5th graders. No registration is required to attend Vacation Bible School on Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9, from 6-8:30 p.m. each evening.

Parish Fun Fair

LOCK HAVEN — Holy Spirit Parish will hold its annual Fun Fair June 8-10 at the St. Agnes Church grounds, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. The fair will run from 5-9 p.m. from June 8 until Saturday, June 10, and features food, baked goods, themed baskets, fun games and a band each night. Food available includes pierogies, stromboli, funnel cakes, hot dogs, meatball sandwiches and hot sausage.

Also included is a 2023 Northern Deanery Raffle for a new 2022 Chevrolet Trax LS AWD. Additional prizes include a Kubota 42 in. zero turn; a Snapper riding mower; a Yeti Tundra haul cooler bundle and a Penn State bundle featuring two tickets.

Karwowski to visit

Swissdale UMC

Rachael Karwowski will do the church service on June 11 at the Swissdale United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to come and hear Rachael sing and speak.

Community Day

Avis United Methodist Church will have a Community Day on Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Activities will include a luncheon, free yard sale, a bake sale and a used book sale. The luncheon menu includes soups (sold by the bowl and/or by the quart), hot sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, mac and cheese and various baked goods. Quarts of three soup flavors can be pre-ordered prior to the Community Day and then picked up there before 1 p.m. Soup will be $6 a quart. To pre-order soup call the church office at 570-753-8137 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Avis United Methodist Church is located at 215 Prospect Ave., Avis.

Cedar Heights VBS

MILL HALL — Vacation Bible School at Cedar Heights Church, 37 Cedar Heights, Mill Hall, (off of Route 64), will be held June 12-14 from 6-8 pm. At Back to the Present Future, a Retro VBS, kids will discover that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Kids will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, eat fun snacks and play water games in the splash zone (please bring a dry towel each night). Cragon Family

ZION — Join church members at Zion Community Church, 3261 Zion Road, Bellefonte, on Sunday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m. for a concert by the Cragun Family. Admission is free. A love offering will be taken.

Outdoor Services
