FLEMINGTON -- On Wednesday, July 26, The Lock Haven Christian Women's Connection will enjoy their "Beautiful Blossoms" Luncheon. The program will be held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Allison Township. There is always good food, lots of fun, music and gifted speakers that help inform and inspire ladies to make a most memorable day.
Following the theme of "Beautiful Blossoms" will be special feature guest Paula Glunt. Paula makes flower petals by hand using metal and other materials.
There is always a musical component at the luncheons and that portion of July's program is entitled "Bursting into Song." July's special music guest is Jonie Bergey. Jonie is a Keystone Central elementary teacher and has sung for the group many times since she has been a teenager.
Talking about an "Eternal Arrangement" will be the guest speaker from Stonecroft. Stonecroft is the national ministry umbrella for the Christian Women's Connection. A list of approved speakers are made available to the group.
The program begins at 11:50 a.m. The cost of $15 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.
This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with long-time friends! The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh.
The group is requesting that all who plan to attend make reservations. Reservations must be made by July 20, by calling Bobbie Jo at 570-748-8708, by calling or texting Jerri at 570-295-5725 or by emailing Ann at lockhavencwc@aol.com.
All reservations for the luncheon MUST be honored.
Ladies planning to attend are reminded to plan alternate routes to the Flemington Church of Christ due to the road closing for the Flemington bridge repairs.
