Vacation Bible School
ANTES FORT -- Vacation Bible School will be held at the Antes Fort Methodist Church beginning on Sunday, Aug. 13, through Wednesday, Aug. 16.
"Rainforest Explorers" is the theme for the VBS that runs each evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Registration begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The VBS is for children ages 3 years through 8th grade.
5th Sunday Services
MILL HALL -- Mill Hall United Methodist Church will host their sister churches, Flemington and Lamar, for a 5th Sunday Service on July 30 at 10:30 a.m.
A Fellowship Lunch will be held after the service. Bring a covered dish to share. Meat and beverages will be provided.
If you cannot bring a covered dish, just join us for food and fellowship.
Sunday service
MILL HALL -- This Sunday, July 30, at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall, during their regular Sunday service, they will be singing all the old hymns so many people are familiar with but don’t hear them very often.
And, they are inviting those people who are longing to hear those old hymns to join them at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The church is handicap accessible, with lots of parking in the back of the church.
Outdoor worship service
WOOLRICH -- Woolrich Community UMC will hold worship service in the Woolrich Park on Sunday, July 30, at 9:45 a.m. at Pavilion #1 (nearest the ball field). Bring a chair. A pot-luck lunch will follow the service. Bring a dish to share and place setting for the meal.
Chicken barbecue
McELHATTAN -- McElhattan Pathway to Christ, formally McElhattan United Methodist Church, will have a Chicken Barbecue on Aug. 5, from 11 a.m. until sold out, by curbside pickup. The meal will feature a half chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans and peach cobbler for dessert. The suggested donation for the meal is $15.
Bible School
AVIS -- Rocky Railways held VBS during the week of July 24-28 at the Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., Avis. A closing program is being held on July 30 during the Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. Those children who attended the VBS along with their parents are encouraged to attend.
Sunday Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp along Route 64 in Lamar will have Summer Concerts each Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The Hyssongs will be in concert on July 30. On Aug. 6 the Keystone State Quartet will perform, followed by The Miller's on Aug. 13. All concerts are free, but a love offering is taken each Sunday evening.
