HHave you ever purchased a house, obtained a driver's license or a marriage license? If so, you would automatically have a written piece of paper or card which is authorized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania giving power to your claim. No one can refute that claim! It is written.
Since all TRUTH is parallel, let us go to the Word of God, which is also written and verified.
It was written in Isaiah that a man named Cyrus would come and subdue the nations (Isaiah 45:1).
Interesting note about this scripture is it was written before the Babylon Empire was in charge and around 150 years before Cyrus was on the scene. It was written! Another forecast of history giving validity to the Bible is around 300 years before King Josiah was born a "man of
God" prophesied to King Jeroboam of the northern kingdom of Israel that a son named Josiah, of the house of David, would come and destroy the altar at Bethel. This also was written and it was so.
Why did I mention these historical truths?
I wanted you to see that the Bible, as we know it, is full of other truths and promises and many of them begin with "IT IS WRITTEN." (in Greek, it stands written) Matthew 4, Jesus uses the authority of the written word three times to defeat the devil.
Paul confirms his teaching in several of his epistles with "IT IS WRITTEN."
Romans 3:10 says," As it is written, there is none that are righteous, no not one." Paul thus validates the need for a savior through the Old Testament foundations of the written Word.
God's written word is truth and IT IS WRITTEN that the truth (that you know) will set you free. (John 8:32)
Worries over health issues, bills not paid, broken relationships; these are all covered in your contract with God. They are just as powerful and holding as your worldly legal contracts.
And since God is not a man that He should lie,( Numbers 23:19) His contracts/written Word is more lasting.
Search out those truths. Find out where IT IS WRITTEN.
