By From Staff Reports 3 min read

LOCK HAVEN -- Big Woods Bible Church, 241 S. Hanna St., Lock Haven, has announced the date of their Women's Autumn Night planned by their Women's Ministry Team. The date is Saturday, Nov. 4, and it will run from 3-9 p.m. This event is open to all women of the area and is free of charge.

The theme of the evening event is "Found Faithful."

In a world of inconsistency, disappointment and suffering, it can be difficult to trust in any promises. But, there is One, who will always be found faithful and that is God. Part of the program will be hearing personal testimonies of women who have remained faithful to God while walking through trials and suffering: divorce, infertility, loss, chronic illness, caring for dying loved ones, abuse, addiction and more. Come hear not only how these women kept their faith intact, but how God was faithful to them in their darkest hour.

There will also be the opportunity to choose from two sets of break-out sessions. One set entitled "fellowship workshops " begins at 3:30 p.m. and includes:

1. "Making a Quiet Time Basket" - learn how to put together a special basket of items to have at the ready for your devotional time

2. "Speed-Friending" - like speed dating, but meet new friends with this fun and fast paced get to know you game.

3. "Fall Door Decor" - make and take a wreath for your door for this holiday season! (There is a cost of $10 for supplies.)

4. "Game Girls" - kick back and play some board games, drink coffee or chat.

The second set of break-out sessions described as formational begins at 4:30 p.m.:

1. "Waiting Well" - many of us are waiting... for a spouse, a career change, a child, a loved one to come to the Lord, for Jesus to return! Join Amy Bechdel Modzel and explore with her how we cannot waste our waiting, but spend it looking for how God calls us to wait upon Him and "wait well".

2. "I Don't Know What to Say" - Hear from a trained counselor, Katrina Selby, on how to come alongside, listen and support those who are suffering.

3. "Praying Through Pain" - Hear from Bobbi Jo Simcox, about the power of prayer to carry us through immense pain and how to cry out to the Lord when we can't seem to find the strength or the words.

The program also includes worship time led by the Big Woods Women's Praise Team.

The Nov. 4 event will be rounded out with a dinner of endless soup, salad, bread and dessert bar. There will also be a latte and coffee bar, and cold beverages available. Women who have full schedules will be able to come for part of the program. This event will headline your calendar of autumn happenings. Register for this free event at: Faithful.BigWoods.org. by the deadline of Nov. 1.
