Winter coat/clothing give-a-way
HOWARD -- Curtin United Methodist Church's Winter Coat/Clothing Give-A-Way will be on Jan. 12-13, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 305 Curtin Village Road, Howard. Lasagna drive-thru
McELHATTAN -- The Pathway to Christ Church in McElhattan is hosting a benefit Lasagna drive-thru for Edward Eyer on Jan. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ed has been going through chemo treatments over the past year and his church family is looking to help in the cost of his treatments. The lasagna dinner consists of lasagna, salad and dessert. Cost is a donation and all proceeds will go to Ed.
Soup sale and luncheon
HOWARD -- The Howard United Methodist Church will sponsor a community soup sale on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eat in or take out. Soups available are vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodle. The cost is $8 for lunch or quarts of soup. Quarts for take out should be pre-ordered by the Sunday prior to luncheon. Contact Patti Long at 814-625-2182. Soup comes in freezable containers. Proceeds from soup sales are designated to local missions in the area. Invite a friend, come for lunch and enjoy a time of good food and fellowship while supporting a worthy cause!
Ham pot pie dinner
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., will be holding a ham pot pie meal on Friday, Jan. 19, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The meal will be dine-in or take out and the cost is a donation. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the FFCOC youth group.
Holy Moments in History
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, invites you to participate in a new series that will be held on the first Wednesday of each month over the next four months at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
The series is being led by Mr. Mike Palischak, a retired history teacher, who will speak about how our forefathers were influenced by their faith in God. This is the second year that Mr. Palischak has offered this study, and it has been very well received throughout the community. The church is handicap accessible and the series is free to attend.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church's Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet at the church at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 7, for lunch and to view the creative items that are brought in each month. Needleworkers (those who crochet, knit or sew) are a critical part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry's outreach in providing hand-made items that are given to nursing home and personal care home residents and those in hospitals, etc.
Yarn is provided for the needleworkers to use, courtesy of local donations and a grant provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation.
New needleworkers are invited to put your creative talents of crocheting, knitting or sewing to good use with the Prayer Shawl Ministry each month. All skill levels are invited to attend. Bible Study
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., will host Sunday night Bible study from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The study will take place for several weeks. Everyone is invited to attend.

Sing-alongs
MILL HALL -- Mill Hall Presbyterian Church holds sing-alongs the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Each runs from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary and features old favorites. The public is invited. Songbooks are provided with Kay Bossert leading and Pam Blesh playing the piano.
Coffee Club & Youth Group
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds Coffee Club every Thursday morning from 8:30-10 a.m. Enjoy coffee and fellowship with others.
The church holds its Youth Group meetings on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. The group is open to grades kindergarten through fourth and also fifth through twelfth. The meeting starts off each Thursday with a meal, followed by a lesson and game time. Call 570-726-8009 for more details.
