King of Kings Easter Drama

BLANCHARD -- Blanchard Church of Christ will be presenting their King of Kings Easter Drama depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus through drama, narrations, song and dance, live animals and more! There will be six performances for you to attend this year’s theatrical production. March 15, 16 and 17 and again on March 22, 23 and 24.

On Friday and Saturday the prelude begins at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Must be in your seats by 6:30 p.m.

Sunday afternoons the prelude begins at 2:15 p.m., with the show starting at 3 p.m. Must be in your seats by 2:30 p.m. Shows fill up fast, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets are FREE for each performance, and must be picked up beforehand by visiting the church office during daytime hours or by calling 570-962-2434 to reserve your tickets.

Bus Trip

The Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church is offering a bus trip to the BIBLE MUSEUM in Washington, D.C. We will leave on April 30 at 7 a.m. from our church, which is at 111 Main St., Mill Hall. There is plenty of room in our parking lot for all the cars. The discounted cost of the trip is only $40 per person and that includes the entrance fee. Fish Fries

BELLEFONTE -- Friday Night Fish Fry at St. John’s Catholic School (116 E. Bishop St.) will be on the following Fridays of Lent: March 8, March 15 and March 22. Fish fries will be open to the public from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The menu will consist of Baked Lemon Pepper Cod (GF), Yuengling Beer Battered Haddock or Panko Crusted Fried Shrimp, choice of three sides: french fries, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, apple sauce and a homemade dessert. Ala Carte items including Haluski and Pierogies with butter and onions will also be available. Eat in or Take Out. The cost is only $13 for adults and $6 for children under 12, under 6 eat for free. Come experience Centre County's largest Fish Fry prepared and served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Lenten fish fry

LOCK HAVEN -- Holy Spirit Parish will be holding their annual Lenten fish fry each Friday during Lent at the parish center, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven.

This year's fry will be drive-thru only. The meal will consist of baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, bread and a dessert for $15.

The fish fry will take place every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Lent except for Good Friday.

Soup sale

FLEMINGTON -- St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding a Soup Sale on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to noon. Orders are due by March 2, take out orders only. Soups will be $7 a quart. Soups being offered are ham and bean, chicken corn and vegetable beef. Orders may be placed by calling the church at 570-748-5741 and leave your order on the message machine.

Bible Study

McElhattan Pathway to Christ Church invites everyone to their Tuesday evening Bible Study, each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church's Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet at the church at noon on Wednesday, March 6, for lunch and to view the creative items that are brought in each month. Needleworkers (those who crochet, knit or sew) are a critical part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry's outreach in providing hand-made items that are given to nursing home and personal care home residents and those in hospitals, etc.

Yarn is provided for the needleworkers to use, courtesy of local donations and a grant provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation.

New needleworkers are invited to put your creative talents of crocheting, knitting or sewing to good use with the Prayer Shawl Ministry each month. All skill levels are invited to attend. Holy Moments in History

MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall invites the community to Holy Moments in History, a series being conducted by Mike Palischak, a retired history teacher who loves history. The next meeting will be on March 6 at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. The March topic will be on Joshua Chamberlain, a little known American Civil War Hero.

If you are a history buff or would like to know how faith in God has helped develop our country, stop by and listen. Mr. Palischak welcomes questions. Everyone is invited to this fascinating program. There is plenty of free parking to the rear of the church.

Bible Study

LOCK HAVEN -- God's Eternal Life Church at 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. Concert by Randy Simpson

Spaghetti Dinner

JERSEY SHORE -- Dine in or get take out spaghetti dinners from the Oriole Church, 39 Main Road, Jersey Shore, on Saturday, March 9, from 4-7 p.m. Ticket donations are $6.50 for adults; $4 for children ages 3-12; and little ones under age three can eat for free.

JERSEY SHORE -- Flemington First Church of Christ will be hosting a free family movie night on Friday, March 15, at 6 p.m. We will be showing Toy Story!! Bring the family out for a fun evening!!

St. Patrick's Day dinner

BELLEFONTE -- St. John’s Episcopal Church at 120 W. Lamb St., Bellefonte, will be having a St. Patrick’s Day dinner on March 16 from 4-7 p.m. The dinner will be take out only and will feature traditional New York style corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, carrots, dessert and a drink. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for kids under 10.

Donut Sale

Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, will have a fresh, homemade donut sale on Thursday, March 21, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It's best to pre-order yours by calling 570-398-2913 from now until March 20. You may leave a message with your name and # and someone will return your call and take your order during regular business hours Monday-Friday at the church office. Pickup is by using the Glover Sreet entrance. Extra donuts are made and walk ins will be accommodated on the day of the sale until all are sold. Donuts will cost $7 per dozen or $3.50 for half-dozen.
