New console organ

RENOVO -- As part of an initiative to enhance the worship service at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1100 Huron Ave., Renovo, the Stephen Poorman Trust gifted an Allen Console Renaissance Organ. The instrument features a 32 note AGO pedal board, three crescendo pedals, 12 toe studs and 28 programmable pistons, with antiphonal speakers. The instrument was dedicated in memory of Pearl Hall Poorman, the mother of Steve Poorman, who was born and raised at Point Breeze in South Renovo.

Collecting treats

FLEMINGTON -- St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Flemington will be conducting a Lenten Community Outreach project. During the month of March, St. Luke's will be collecting individually wrapped packages of treats/snacks for the residents of the Lock Haven Rehabilitation Center and the Senior Living Center.

King of Kings Easter Drama

BLANCHARD -- Blanchard Church of Christ will be presenting their King of Kings Easter Drama depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus through drama, narrations, song and dance, live animals and more! There will be six performances for you to attend this year's theatrical production. March 15, 16 and 17 and again on March 22, 23 and 24.

On Friday and Saturday the prelude begins at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Must be in your seats by 6:30 p.m.

Sunday afternoons the prelude begins at 2:15 p.m., with the show starting at 3 p.m. Must be in your seats by 2:30 p.m. Shows fill up fast, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets are FREE for each performance, and must be picked up beforehand by visiting the church office during daytime hours or by calling 570-962-2423 to reserve your tickets.

Lenten fish fry

LOCK HAVEN -- Holy Spirit Parish will be holding their annual Lenten fish fry each Friday during Lent at the parish center, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven.

This year's fry will be drive-thru only. The meal will consist of baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, bread and a dessert for $15.

The fish fry will take place every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Lent except for Good Friday.

Bible Study

LOCK HAVEN -- God's Eternal Life Church at 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. St. Patrick's Day dinner

St. John's Episcopal Church at 120 W. Lamb St., Bellefonte, will be having a St. Patrick's Day dinner on March 16 from 4-7 p.m. The dinner will be take out only and will feature traditional New York style corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, carrots, dessert and a drink. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for kids under 10.

Spaghetti Dinners

St. Luke Catholic Church in Jersey Shore is hosting their annual "all you can eat" spaghetti dinners. The dinners will take place on Wednesday, March 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4-7 p.m. The dinners will include spaghetti, two homemade meatballs, tossed salad, Italian bread, a beverage and dessert. Take-out available during serving hours. The cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and children under 6 free.

Donut Sale

Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, will have a fresh, homemade donut sale on Thursday, March 21, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It's best to pre-order yours by calling 570-398-2913 from now until March 20. You may leave a message with your name and phone number and someone will return your call to take your order during regular business hours Monday-Friday at the church office. Pickup is by using the Glover Street entrance. Extra donuts are made and walk-ins will be accommodated on the day of the sale until all are sold. Donuts will cost $7 per dozen or $3.50 for half-dozen.

Last soup sale and luncheon

The Howard United Methodist Church, located at 144 W. Main St., Howard, will be having their last soup sale and luncheon until the fall on Thursday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eat in or take out. Soups available are vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodle. Cost is $8 for lunch or quarts of soup. Quarts for take out should be pre-ordered by Sunday, March 17. Contact Patti at 814-625-2182 to pre-order. Soup comes in freezable containers. Proceeds from soup sales are designated to local missions in the area. Invite a friend, come for lunch and enjoy a time of good food and fellowship while supporting a worthy cause!

Fish Fries

BELLEFONTE -- Friday Night Fish Fry at St. John's Catholic School (116 E. Bishop St.) will be on March 22, from 4-7 p.m. The menu will consist of Baked Lemon Pepper Cod (GF), Yuengling Beer Battered Haddock or Panko Crusted Fried Shrimp, choice of three sides: french fries, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, apple sauce and a homemade dessert. Ala Carte items including Haluski and Pierogies with butter and onions will also be available. Eat in or Take Out. The cost is only $13 for adults and $6 for children under 12, under 6 eat for free. Come experience Centre County's largest Fish Fry prepared and served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

New Hope Services

MILL HALL -- On March 24, New Hope Fellowship, 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, will be having Palm Sunday Breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by service at 10 a.m. Join us and bring a dish to share.

On March 29, New Hope Fellowship will be holding a Good Friday Service at 6:30 p.m.

On March 31, New Hope Fellowship will be holding its Easter Service at 10 a.m.

Egg Hunt

BEECH CREEK -- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church is hosting their annual Easter Egg Extravaganza on Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m. There will be thousands of candy filled eggs as well as special prize eggs. We invite you to come out for an afternoon of fun! This event is for children 12 and under. Please bring your own bag. The church is located at 217 Main Street in Beech Creek.

Annual Easter egg hunt

LOCK HAVEN -- The Big Woods Bible Church will be having their annual free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m., at 241 S. Hanna St., Lock Haven. Come on out to win some raffle prizes and for some egg hunting fun for all ages!

Maundy Services

On Maundy Thursday, March 28, Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 222 Main St., Mill Hall, will be offering a candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. in the large social room. The service will include a simple meal, like the last meal Christ had with his apostles before he was crucified. The service will also include a short message and communion will be offered. Everyone is invited to this very moving service. Please use the back entrance. We are handicap accessible and no reservation is needed. Bus Trip

The Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church is offering a bus trip to the BIBLE MUSEUM in Washington, D.C. We will leave on April 30 at 7 a.m. from our church, which is at 111 Main St., Mill Hall. There is plenty of room in our parking lot for all the cars. The discounted cost of the trip is only $40 per person and that includes the entrance fee. Pathway to Christ events

McELHATTAN -- Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan, will host a variety of events in March that include:

-- Bible Study will be held every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

-- Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. on March 28.

-- A Cross Walk at 6:15 a.m. on March 29. This solemn walk, which gives participants the opportunity to experience what Jesus did prior to the crucifixion, will begin at the baseball field and travel along the Rails to Trail to the church.

-- Good Friday Service at 7 p.m. on March 29.

-- Photos with the Easter Bunny from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 30. There will be free hot dogs and chips for the first 80 who attend. Vendors and baked goods will be for sale.

-- Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on March 31 followed by regular services at 10 a.m.

Good Friday service

Jana Marie Foundation is holding another JAM (Jana's Art and Music) Session for all kids in grades 2 through 5 on Monday, April 1, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard.
