Crafting group open to all
LOCK HAVEN -- A new crafting group is open to everyone who wants to share in the fun and maybe gain a new skill. Covenant Crafters meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., and is open to the general public.
Projects will vary. The crafters are currently doing embroidery cards.
The group meets in the lounge. Enter the more modern section of the church building and turn right at the stairs. The lounge is on the left. The building also has a handicap entrance. For information, contact Pastor Justin Frear at 570-748-6481 or covenantumc@susumc.org.
Family Breakfast
STATE COLLEGE -- A Family Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 23, at Mount Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 E. Branch Road, State College. Registration and breakfast begin at 9 a.m. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, a family craft and an egg hunt for two age groups (ages 1-4 and ages 4-12) will follow. New console organ
RENOVO -- As part of an initiative to enhance the worship service at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1100 Huron Ave., Renovo, the Stephen Poorman Trust gifted an Allen Console Renaissance Organ. The instrument features a 32 note AGO pedal board, three crescendo pedals, 12 toe studs and 28 programmable pistons, with antiphonal speakers. The instrument was dedicated in memory of Pearl Hall Poorman, the mother of Steve Poorman, who was born and raised at Point Breeze in South Renovo.
Collecting treats
FLEMINGTON -- St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be conducting a Lenten Community Outreach project. During the month of March, St. Luke’s will be collecting individually wrapped packages of treats/snacks for the residents of the Lock Haven Rehabilitation Center and the Senior Living Center.
King of Kings Easter Drama
BLANCHARD -- Blanchard Church of Christ will be presenting their King of Kings Easter Drama depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus through drama, narrations, song and dance, live animals and more! Performances will be on March 22, 23 and 24.
On Friday and Saturday the prelude begins at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Must be in your seats by 6:30 p.m.
Sunday afternoon the prelude begins at 2:15 p.m., with the show starting at 3 p.m. Must be in your seats by 2:30 p.m. Shows fill up fast, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets are FREE for each performance, and must be picked up beforehand by visiting the church office during daytime hours or by calling 570-962-2423 to reserve your tickets.
Lenten fish fry
LOCK HAVEN -- Holy Spirit Parish will be holding their annual Lenten fish fry each Friday during Lent at the parish center, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven.
This year's fry will be drive-thru only. The meal will consist of baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, bread and a dessert for $15.
The fish fry will take place every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Lent except for Good Friday.
Bible Study
LOCK HAVEN -- God's Eternal Life Church at 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. Annual Easter egg hunt
LOCK HAVEN -- The Big Woods Bible Church will be having their annual free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m., at 241 S. Hanna St., Lock Haven. Come on out to win some raffle prizes and for some egg hunting fun for all ages.
JAM session
Jana Marie Foundation is holding another JAM (Jana's Art and Music) Session for all kids in grades 2 through 5 on Monday, April 1, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard. Holy Moments in History
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall invites the community to Holy Moments in History, a series being conducted by Mike Palischak, a retired history teacher who loves history. The next meeting will be on April 3 at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. The April topic will be famous women - Sarah Hale, Harriet Becher Stowe,
Clare Barton and Dorothea Dix. If you are a history buff or would like to know how faith in God has helped develop our country, stop by and listen. Mr. Palischak welcomes questions. Everyone is invited to this fascinating program. There is plenty of free parking to the rear of the church.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church's Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet at the church at noon on Wednesday, April 3, for lunch and to view the creative items that are brought in each month. Needleworkers (those who crochet, knit or sew) are a critical part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry's outreach in providing hand-made items that are given to nursing home and personal care home residents and those in hospitals, etc.
Yarn is provided for the needleworkers to use, courtesy of local donations and a grant provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation.
New needleworkers are invited to put your creative talents of crocheting, knitting or sewing to good use with the Prayer Shawl Ministry each month. All skill levels are invited to attend. Singing about the
Resurrected Christ!
BEECH CREEK -- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will be hosting a Concert Series - Singing About the Resurrected Christ! This will include two concerts on two nights. The first will be The Kramers on Sunday, April 14, at 6 p.m. The Kramers maintain a high quality of musical excellence with an unquenchable passion to see people come to know Jesus Christ as Savior. The second concert will be The Nelons on Sunday, April 21, at 6 p.m. A concert with The Nelons leaves you encouraged by the message of hope shared from their hearts, warmed by the love of family you feel from the stage and inspired by the beauty, purity and majesty of each lyric they sing. A love offering will be received at each concert. The concerts are free and open to the public. We hope to provide a nice audience for The Kramers and The Nelons.

Sing-alongs
MILL HALL -- Mill Hall Presbyterian Church holds sing-alongs the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Each runs from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary and features old favorites. The public is invited. Songbooks are provided with Kay Bossert leading and Pam Blesh playing the piano.
Coffee Club & Youth Group
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds Coffee Club every Thursday morning from 8:30-10 a.m. Enjoy coffee and fellowship with others.
The church holds its Youth Group meetings on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. The group is open to grades kindergarten through fourth and also fifth through twelfth. The meeting starts off each Thursday with a meal, followed by a lesson and game time. Call 570-726-8009 for more details.
