Outdoor Family Movie Night
BEECH CREEK -- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church invites you to join us for an Outdoor Family Movie Night on Friday, June 28, at 8:30 p.m. We will be watching the animated movie All Creatures Big & Small, "a cute spin on the Noah's Ark story." This is a kid friendly movie that all are sure to enjoy! Weather permitting, we will be watching the movie outdoors so please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. The church is located at 217 Main Street in Beech Creek.
Youth invited
FLEMINGTON -- Area youth are invited to Flemington First Church of Christ for a summer of fun! Youth and teens in grades 6-12 are invited to the church each Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
Boal Museum trip
MILL HALL -- For those who enjoyed Mike Palischak's special lecture on Christopher Columbus during one of the Holy Moments in Time presentations at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall, the church will be taking a group trip to the Christopher Columbus Chapel and the Boal Mansion Museum on July 10.
The trip will leave the church at 111 Main St., Mill Hall, at 1 p.m., and carpool to the chapel and the museum. The public is invited to come along. The tour will take about two hours and the entrance fee is $12 for each person.
A count of those who will be attending needs to be given to the tour guide, so please RSVP to Pastor Susan at the church at 570-726-4112. Leave a brief message on the church's answering machine of how many will be joining the group trip on July 10 along with your name and contact number.
Change in service hours
Effective June 2, the Nittany Valley Charge UCC will have a change in hours for Sunday morning worship services.
Emmanuel UCC in Jacksonville will worship at 9 a.m.; Mt Bethel/Salona will worship at 10:30 a.m. at Salona (June 9 at Mt. Bethel, Lamar).
These hours will be in effect until the end of May 2025.
Strawberry Festival
BELLEFONTE -- The Greater Buffalo Run Valley United Methodist Church will be holding their 4th annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 22, from 4-7 p.m. The festival will be at their new location at 112 Trinity Court, Bellefonte, between Armagast Road and the entrance to Continental Courts. Menu items include strawberry shortcake with ice cream, sloppy joes, hot dogs, snacks, iced tea, lemonade and water.
Sunday Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having concerts each Sunday evening at 7 p.m. in the campground's multi-purpose room. The public is invited to each of the free Sunday evening concerts. A love offering is taken during the evening. Indoor seating is provided for the concerts, or bring your lawn chairs for more comfortable seating. The Needhams will be in concert on Sunday, June 23.
The Miller's in Concert

Free movies
MILL HALL -- Living Faith Ministries will once again hold their Friday Night Movies. All movies are free and open to the community. We are located at 7175 Nittany Valley Drive in Mill Hall. Summer Outdoor Concert
Series returns to St. Mark
HOWARD -- St. Mark Lutheran Church's Summer Outdoor Concert series returns and begins June 21. The monthly series features music from local and regional musicians playing under the pavilion at St. Mark, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard.
On Friday, June 21, the Sugar Valley Band kicks off the series. The band plays rock and Americana. On July 26, folk musician Woody Wolfe, Jr. performs. The series wraps up on Aug. 30 with the bluegrass group, the Parlor Pickers.
The evenings begin at 6 p.m., with music starting at 6:30 p.m. The evenings include a fire pit to roast hot dogs, Smores and more, and just a relaxing evening with family and friends -- both old and new.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy some great music and time with the community!

5-Day Club
First Baptist Church, 210 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, is offering a 5-Day Club for children ages 5-12 (and their parents!) on July 8-12, from 6:30-8 p.m. each evening. Come and bring a friend to hear Bible lessons, enjoy songs and games, learn Bible memory verses and participate in fun activities where you can earn prizes.

Free Summer Movies
Free movies will be shown at Hillview Wesleyan Church this summer.
The movies will be shown in the church fellowship hall at 6 p.m.
On July 20, the movie will be "The Rescuers Down Under."
On Aug. 17, the movie will be Disney's "Robin Hood" and on Sept. 21, the movie will be "The Chronicles of Narnia -- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
Bring the whole family to enjoy these movies at the church, 1200 W. 4th St., Lock Haven.
Crafting group open to all
LOCK HAVEN -- A new crafting group is open to everyone who wants to share in the fun and maybe gain a new skill. Covenant Crafters meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., and is open to the general public.
Projects will vary. The crafters are currently doing embroidery cards.

'The Chosen' viewing party
LOCK HAVEN -- Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St., will be streaming season 4 of "The Chosen" in their fellowship hall.
It tells the life of Jesus and his disciples and shows what life was like in those times, politically as well as spiritually. It has had a profound effect on many people and will open your eyes to things you have never thought of before.
You are invited Thursdays, beginning May 30, for eight episodes (8 weeks except July 4) at 6 p.m. for snacks. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. Enter the parking lot from Mill Street, use the doors to the fellowship hall.
You cannot stream this from any network, it is only available through membership to the Christian Cinema.
It would be helpful if you watched a few of season 1-3 episodes, but not necessary.

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds Coffee Club every Thursday morning from 8:30-10 a.m. Enjoy coffee and fellowship with others.
