Change in service hours
Effective June 2, the Nittany Valley Charge UCC will have a change in hours for Sunday morning worship services.
Emmanuel, Jacksonville will worship at 9 a.m.; Mt Bethel/Salona will worship at 10:30 a.m. at Salona (June 9 at Mt. Bethel, Lamar).
These hours will be in effect until the end of May 2025.
Sing-a-long at Dunnstown UMC
The Twisted Racketeers will be at the Dunnstown United Methodist Church for a sing-a-long on June 2 at 2 p.m.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church's Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet at the church at noon on Wednesday, June 5, for lunch and to view the creative items that are brought in each month. Needleworkers (those who crochet, knit or sew) are a critical part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry's outreach in providing hand-made items that are given to nursing home and personal care home residents and those in hospitals, etc.
Yarn is provided for the needleworkers to use, courtesy of local donations and a grant provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation.
Donations of yarn are always welcomed and accepted for use by the Prayer Shawl Ministry, too!
New needleworkers are invited to put your creative talents of crocheting, knitting or sewing to good use with the Prayer Shawl Ministry each month. All skill levels are invited to attend. Vacation Bible Schools
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ will hold their Vacation Bible School on Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7, from 6-8:30 p.m. Grades K-5th grade are welcome!

Vacation Bible School will be held June 9-12 at the Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church. Sunday night there will be a kickoff picnic starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. each evening. Children ages Pre-K and up are invited (along with their parents) are invited to come each evening for Bible stories, games, songs, Lego's, building blocks, an offering challenge and more! Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church invites you to join our construction crews as they follow God's blueprint to build lives on firm foundations. The VBS program will run from June 17 through June 19 from 6-8 p.m. nightly at the church located at 37 Cedar Heights, Mill Hall, on Route 64. Built on the Rock Vacation Bible School is for children from 3 years old through fifth grade. Each night, children will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks and songs. The Loganton Wesleyan Church is holding a week long VBS June 24-June 28, from 6pm to 8pm. This year’s theme is “Building Rock-Solid Faith in Jesus” featuring Joseph and His Coat of Many Colors! Holy Spirit Parish Fair

Holy Communion

'The Chosen' viewing party
LOCK HAVEN -- Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St., will be streaming season 4 of "The Chosen" in their fellowship hall.
It tells the life of Jesus and his disciples and shows what life was like in those times, politically as well as spiritually. It has had a profound effect on many people and will open your eyes to things you have never thought of before.
You are invited Thursdays, beginning May 30, for eight episodes (8 weeks except July 4) at 6 p.m. for snacks. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. Enter the parking lot from Mill Street, use the doors to the fellowship hall.
You cannot stream this from any network, it is only available through membership to the Christian Cinema.
It would be helpful if you watched a few of season 1-3 episodes, but not necessary.

'Ordinary Angels'
FLEMINGTON -- Hillview Wesleyan Church, 1200 W. 4th St., will be showing the movie "Ordinary Angels" in the church on Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m. The movie is based on a remarkable true story that centers on Sharon Stevens, a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky, who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she discovers Ed Schmitt, a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring story of faith, everyday miracles and ordinary angels.
Memorial Car Show
MILL HALL -- The Dennis Hoffman Annual Car Show will be held Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Living Faith Ministries Free Methodist Church located at 7175 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. There is no entry fee. Door prizes will be given and several memorial gifts will be given as well. Come and stay as long as you want. Free food will be available while supplies last.

MILL HALL -- Living Faith Ministries will once again hold their Friday Night Movies starting Friday, June 14. All movies are free and open to the community. Learn how kids, adults
can read Bible together
LOCK HAVEN -- A new kind of family Bible study is offered Tuesday evenings at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Kids of all ages and their favorite adults are welcome to read and learn from the Bible together.
Parents, godparents, aunts, uncles and grandparents can use this course to share their faith with the children in their lives.
"Families Studying the Bible Together" is held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the church assembly room. Use the front door of the older, more formal section of the building. There is cafe seating, and a ramp entrance is available.
In the first few sessions, Pastor Justin Frear will cover strategies for families to share Bible readings so that both children and adults can understand the passages. He will then lead a study of the Book of Proverbs using these strategies. The study concludes sometime in June.

Crafting group open to all
LOCK HAVEN -- A new crafting group is open to everyone who wants to share in the fun and maybe gain a new skill. Covenant Crafters meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., and is open to the general public.
Projects will vary. The crafters are currently doing embroidery cards.

Bible Study
LOCK HAVEN -- God's Eternal Life Church at 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. MILL HALL -- Mill Hall Presbyterian Church holds sing-alongs the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Each runs from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary and features old favorites. The public is invited. Songbooks are provided with Kay Bossert leading and Pam Blesh playing the piano.
Coffee club & Youth Group
FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., holds Coffee Club every Thursday morning from 8:30-10 a.m. Enjoy coffee and fellowship with others.
The church holds its Youth Group meetings on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. The group is open to grades kindergarten through fourth and also fifth through twelfth. The meeting starts off each Thursday with a meal, followed by a lesson and game time. Call 570-726-8009 for more details.
