Change in service hours
Effective June 2, the Nittany Valley Charge UCC will have a change in hours for Sunday morning worship services.
Emmanuel UCC in Jacksonville will worship at 9 a.m.; Mt Bethel/Salona will worship at 10:30 a.m. at Salona (June 9 at Mt. Bethel, Lamar).
These hours will be in effect until the end of May 2025.
Picnic kicks off VBS
MARSH CREEK -- Vacation Bible School will be held June 9-12 at the Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church.
Sunday night there will be a kickoff picnic starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. each evening. Children ages Pre-K and up are invited (along with their parents) are invited to come each evening for Bible stories, games, songs, Lego's, building blocks, an offering challenge and more!

MILL HALL -- The worship service at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, starts at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning. Vacation Bible Schools

Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church invites you to join our construction crews as they follow God's blueprint to build lives on firm foundations. The VBS program will run from June 17 through June 19 from 6-8 p.m. nightly at the church located at 37 Cedar Heights, Mill Hall, on Route 64. Built on the Rock Vacation Bible School is for children from 3 years old through fifth grade. Each night, children will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks and songs. The Loganton Wesleyan Church is holding a week long VBS June 24-June 28, from 6pm to 8pm. This year's theme is "Building Rock-Solid Faith in Jesus" featuring Joseph and His Coat of Many Colors! Holy Communion
The Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall invites you to join us for the sacrament of Holy Communion on June 9 at 10:30 a.m. Very little knowledge of our Lord is sufficient for salvation. McELHATTAN -- Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan, will be hosting Rachael Karwowski on June 9 at 10 a.m. Rachael will be giving the morning message along with her special music. All are welcome to come hear this talented young woman.
'The Chosen' viewing party
LOCK HAVEN -- Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St., will be streaming season 4 of "The Chosen" in their fellowship hall.
It tells the life of Jesus and his disciples and shows what life was like in those times, politically as well as spiritually. It has had a profound effect on many people and will open your eyes to things you have never thought of before.
You are invited Thursdays, beginning May 30, for eight episodes (8 weeks except July 4) at 6 p.m. for snacks. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. Enter the parking lot from Mill Street, use the doors to the fellowship hall.
You cannot stream this from any network, it is only available through membership to the Christian Cinema.
It would be helpful if you watched a few of season 1-3 episodes, but not necessary.

'Ordinary Angels'
FLEMINGTON -- Hillview Wesleyan Church, 1200 W. 4th St., will be showing the movie "Ordinary Angels" in the church on Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m. The movie is based on a remarkable true story that centers on Sharon Stevens, a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky, who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she discovers Ed Schmitt, a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring story of faith, everyday miracles and ordinary angels.
Memorial Car Show
MILL HALL -- The Dennis Hoffman Annual Car Show will be held Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Living Faith Ministries Free Methodist Church located at 7175 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. There is no entry fee. Door prizes will be given and several memorial gifts will be given as well. Come and stay as long as you want. Free food will be available while supplies last.
Sunday Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having concerts each Sunday evening in the campground's multi-purpose room. On June 9 Glory Way will take the stage at 7 p.m. The public is invited to each of the free Sunday evening concerts. A love offering is taken during the evening. Indoor seating is provided for the concerts, or bring your lawn chairs for more comfortable seating.
The Foresters will be in concert on Sunday, June 16, followed by the Needhams on June 23.
Free movies
MILL HALL -- Living Faith Ministries will once again hold their Friday Night Movies starting Friday, June 14. All movies are free and open to the community. We are located at 7175 Nittany Valley Drive in Mill Hall. Look for the big green sign in front of the church. There will be free food while supplies last. Bring you lawn chairs, blankets, family and enjoy a FREE night out!
Meet and Greet
LOCK HAVEN -- Walnut Street Church of Christ, 714 W. Walnut St., is having a "Meet and Greet" at the church building on June 15 from 12-2 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome. Come see our church building, have some refreshments and meet our minister.

Trumpet Concert
WINGATE -- Chiz Rider will be at the Wingate Faith Church on Sunday, June 16. Rider will be proclaiming the gospel through his trumpet and testimony at the free concert during the 9 a.m. service. Food and fellowship will follow the concert and worship service.
