HOWARD -- Bargains and Blessings Community Closet will be open in the fellowship hall of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Gently used clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family are available. Sizes range from infants through 3X. Clothes are priced at $5 per bag full and bags are furnished. Free bottled water and small snacks will be available.
Bargains and Blessings Community Closet is an outreach ministry of Faith Chapel UMC that serves Beech Creek, Blanchard, Howard and surrounding areas. All proceeds from Bargains and Blessings go back into the community to help families in need.
The next sale is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the First Commonwealth Bank, 250 Main St., Beech Creek. The final sale of the season will be Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel UMC.
Donations of good quality, gently used clothing, shoes and accessories will gladly be accepted on most Tuesday mornings at Faith Chapel UMC. Send an email to jbumbarger@comcast.net to verify that the donation site will be open, or to make alternate arrangements.
