Missionaries
FLEMINGTON -- Hillview Wesleyan Church will host two missionaries in September.
Dorcas Croft, missionary to Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, in South Africa, will be at the church on Hillview Wesleyan on Sept. 1, 10:30 a.m.
Robin & Yoko White, missionary to Japan, will visit on Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Blood Drive
FLEMINGTON -- St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 1175 W. 4th St., in Flemington, will host a blood drive on Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Free root beer floats will be served at the drive. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit RedCrossBlood.org to book your appointment time.
Free Summer Movies
FLEMINGTON -- Free movies will be shown at Hillview Wesleyan Church this summer. The movies will be shown in the church fellowship hall at 6 p.m.
On Aug. 17 the movie will be Disney's Robin Hood.
On Sept. 21 the movie will be The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Lamar Lighthouse concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having concerts each Sunday evening at 7 p.m. in the campground's multi-purpose room. The public is invited to each of the free Sunday evening concerts. A love offering is taken during the evening. Indoor seating is provided for the concerts, or bring your lawn chairs for more comfortable seating.
Justified will be singing on Aug. 18. New Journey will be taking the stage on Aug. 25. Randy and Marli Ministries will be performing on Sept. 1, followed by Texas Star on Sept. 8. The last concert of the summer will feature Glory Way on Sept. 15.
Lamar Lighthouse Camp is located along Route 64, 2 miles south of I-80 exit 173.
Grief Support
LOCK HAVEN -- Community Grief Support is a new opportunity for men and women to gather and seek help together. The next meeting will be on Aug. 27. The group will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge of Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
The support group is free, confidential and open to anyone. There is no work book to follow and no end date. It is designed to become an established, long-term program.
Sharon Gensib and Pamela Brauchli are the facilitators. They will open each session but the discussion will go where the group takes it.

FLEMINGTON -- Flemington First Church of Christ youth group will have their welcome back night on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 6-8 p.m., for grades 6-12. There will be nachos, snow cones, a Gaga ball and more!
Free movies
MILL HALL -- Living Faith Ministries will once again hold their Friday Night Movies. All movies are free and open to the community. We are located at 7175 Nittany Valley Drive in Mill Hall. Look for the big green sign in front of the church. There will be free food while supplies last. Bring you lawn chairs, blankets, family and enjoy a FREE night out!
Summer Outdoor Concert

HOWARD -- St. Mark Lutheran Church's Summer Outdoor Concerts will be wrapping up with the conclusion on Aug. 30, when the bluegrass group, the Parlor Pickers, comes to Snydertown.
The public is invited to come and relax with family and friends, beginning at 6 p.m. when the fire pit will be ready to roast hot dogs, Smores and more, with the music starting at 6:30 p.m. under the pavilion at St. Mark's, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy some great music and time with the community!

Country style dinner
WILLIAMSPORT -- The Parishioners of Immaculate Conception Parish invite you to its annual country style ham and turkey dinner on Monday, Sept. 2, from noon to 6 p.m., at the parish center, 5973 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport.
The meal will consist of ham and turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, noodles, coleslaw, bread and dessert. The cost is $13 per meal for adults and $6 for children ages 4-12. Children under 4 are free. Takeout meals at $13 each are available after 1 p.m.
In addition to the dinner, sandwiches, French fries, funnel cakes, pies and ice cream are available on the grounds, as well as small games of chance and Bingo. The church will also have a variety of homemade jams and jellies, fudge and candy for sale in the Summer Kitchen.
Yard Sale
SALLADASBURG -- Salladasburg Church, on Main St., in Salladasburg, will host an indoor yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m.- noon. The sale will include household items, clothing, furniture, books, toys, tools and CDs/DVDs. Proceeds will benefit local missions.
Crafting group open to all
LOCK HAVEN -- A new crafting group is open to everyone who wants to share in the fun and maybe gain a new skill. Covenant Crafters meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., and is open to the general public.
Projects will vary.
