Needleworkers Invited

MILL HALL — Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church’s Prayer Shawl Ministry (PSM) will meet at the church at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 6, for lunch and to view the creative items that are brought in each month.

Needleworkers are a critical part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The needleworkers (those men and women who crochet, knit or sew) have been very busy this past year creating numerous items that have been distributed locally to help those in need. Hats and scarves have been given, baby blankets and sweaters, lap robes and prayer shawls and children’s bed quilts and more have been made.

Yarn is provided by the church for the needleworkers to use, courtesy of local donations of both yarn and money that is used to buy new skeins of yarn for the PSM.

New needleworkers are invited to put your creative talents of crocheting and knitting to good use with the Prayer Shawl Ministry each month. All skill levels are invited to attend.

Prayer Shawl Ministry’s Pastor Susan Champion invites the community to come to the meetings held the first Wednesday of each month to see all the wonderful projects that the needleworkers have created. PSM begins at noon with a light lunch provided. The church is handicap accessible with lots of free parking to the rear. For questions, call 570-726-4112 and leave a message.
