Christmas craft show

FLEMINGTON — Flemington First Church of Christ will host a Christmas craft show on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Come get family photos with Santa as well!

Craft vendor fair

McELHATTAN — McElhattan Pathway to Christ, 502 McElhattan Drive, will hold a craft and vendor fair on Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The fair will feature homemade blankets, primitive woodcraft, shirts, dog treats, holiday and Christmas items, hand towels, candles and more. Come out shop locally and support your talented vendors/crafters.

Food will also be available for purchase including hot dogs, chips, pasta salad with ice tea and water.

Fall Fair

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding a Fall Fair on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The fair will feature a huge indoor yard sale, bake sale, raffle table, homemade fudge, homemade soups, sandwiches and delicious homemade pies and desserts. Lunch will be available for eat in or take out. Quarts of chicken corn, ham and bean and vegetable soup will be available all day at the fair for $7 each. There will be Rada Cutlery, Baskets by BJ, Aungst’s Smoked Cheese, Scentsy and other craft vendors there, too!

Caldwells in Concert

MARSH CREEK — The Caldwells will be in concert at the Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. The public is invited to attend. The church is located along Summit Hill Road, in the rural area of Howard. Call Pastor Longmore at 814-625-3544 for info.

Soup Sale and Luncheon

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will sponsor a community soup sale on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eat in or take out. Soups available are vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodle. Quarts for take out should be preordered by the Sunday prior to luncheon. Contact Patti Long at 814-625-2182 for preorders and questions. Soup comes in freezable containers. Cost is $8 for lunch or quarts of soup. Proceeds from soup sales are designated to local missions in the area. Invite a friend, come for lunch and enjoy a time of good food and fellowship while supporting a worthy cause!

Donut sale

JERSEY SHORE — There will be fresh homemade donuts for sale on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., use the Glover St. Entrance. It would be best to call Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and preorder your donuts at 570-398-2913. Extra donuts are made and will be available for walk-in sales from 7 a.m. on the day of the sale until 4 p.m., unless sold out sooner. The cost is $7 a dozen and $3.50 for a half dozen. There will be no December sale so you are encouraged to buy extra. They freeze beautifully!

Holiday Sale Days

BELLEFONTE — The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Ct. #448, Bellefonte, will be having their Holiday Yard Sale, Advent sale, bake sale and raffle on Sat, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sun., Nov. 24, from 8 a.m. until noon. Our Holiday Yard Sale is jammed with Christmas items: decorations, wreaths, trees, cards, dishes and more, at wonderful bargain prices!

Hanging of the Greens

LOCK HAVEN — Caldwell United Methodist Church, 11376 Coudersport Pike, Lock Haven, will be holding a “Hanging of the Greens” service on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend as you are.

Grief Support

LOCK HAVEN — Community Grief Support is a new opportunity for men and women to gather and seek help together. The next meeting will be on Nov. 26. The group will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge of Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

The support group is free, confidential and open to anyone. There is no work book to follow and no end date. It is designed to become an established, long-term program.

Sharon Gensib and Pamela Brauchli are the facilitators. They will open each session but the discussion will go where the group takes it.

Thanksgiving service

LOCK HAVEN — The former Liberty Church, now the “Liberty Wedding Chapel,” located at 337 Island Road, Lock Haven, will be holding a Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. There will be a special musical offering from Laura Orndorf accompanied by Christina Frank Livingston. All are invited to attend.

Thanksgiving Dinner

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will hold its annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meal is free for all to enjoy. The church will offer dine-in, take out or delivery to surrounding areas.

LOCK HAVEN — It’s that time again for Great Island Presbyterian Church to have their annual free Thanksgiving Day dinner. All orders will be take-out only this year. Call the church office to order your meals and then come to the church for pick-up. Meals will also be delivered if arrangements are made with the church office. Pickups and deliveries will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The church office number to place your orders is 570-748-2810.

Christmas Hymn Sing

DUNNSTOWN — Dunnstown United Methodist Church will be having a Christmas Christian Gospel Hymn Sing on Dec. 8, from 2-3:30 p.m. Twisted Racquet Tears will be the featured band. There is no cost to attend. Come join and sing those long loved, familiar hymns!

Crafting group open to all

LOCK HAVEN — A new crafting group is open to everyone who wants to share in the fun and maybe gain a new skill. Covenant Crafters meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., and is open to the general public.

Projects will vary.

Bible Study

LOCK HAVEN — God’s Eternal Life Church at 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word.
