Spaghetti Dinner
MILL HALL -- The Sons of Italy will be hosting a fundraising dinner to help the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall with their winter heating expenses.
The spaghetti dinner will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 4-6 p.m., at the Sons of Italy, 1 N. Henderson St., Lock Haven. The meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, bread and dessert for $10. Tickets are required to obtain a meal.
Grief Support
LOCK HAVEN -- Community Grief Support is a new opportunity for men and women to gather and seek help together. The next meeting will be on Jan. 28. The group will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge of Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
The support group is free, confidential and open to anyone. There is no work book to follow and no end date. It is designed to become an established, long-term program.
Sharon Gensib and Pamela Brauchli are the facilitators. They will open each session but the discussion will go where the group takes it.
Bible Study
LOCK HAVEN -- God's Eternal Life Church at 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. Holy Moments Series
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church will be starting their Holy Moments in History series on Feb. 5. Retired history teacher Mike Palischak will lead the program. Mike has chosen William Penn as his first topic of historical individuals who influenced our country through their faith. Come learn all about William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, on Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Additional seminars featuring a different historical figure will be held on the first Wednesday of each month. Bald Eagle UP Church is located at 111 Main St., Mill Hall, with plenty of free parking to the rear of the church.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL -- Come join the members of the Prayer Shawl Ministry of Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. PSM meets the first Wednesday of each month at noon. We'll look at all of the beautiful creations of crocheted and knitted items that have been brought in by our needleworkers. There will also be a light lunch provided.
If you'd like to become a part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, please come! We welcome all skill levels to help us in our ministry. If you don't know how to crochet or knit, we have people who will show and mentor you through your learning experience.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry also accepts donations (monetary as well as yarn or cotton material) to continue our ministry. If anyone would like to donate clean, cotton material, it would certainly be appreciated and will be used to create machine sewn quilts for children's beds.
