Bible Study

Youth Luau
BLANCHARD -- Blanchard Church of Christ is hosting a youth Luau for students in 6th-12th grade and the 2025 graduating seniors. The Luau will be held on Sunday, June 1, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the church. The event should conclude around 5:30 p.m. Lots of great activities are planned for this Luau including an inflatable obstacle course, epic prizes, delicious food, a colorful foam party and slip n' slide. Shoppers can buy clothing of all sizes, accessories and shoes for just $5 a bag. Summer Concert Series
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be hosting their Summer Concert series each Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Each of the concerts is free and open to the public. A love offering is taken each week to further the ministry of both the groups performing and Lamar Lighthouse Camp. Kicking off the summer concert series on June 8 will be GloryWay. On June 15 the Itzels will be performing and on June 22 the Needhams. The Cragun Family will be in concert on June 29.

Vacation Bible School
BELLEFONTE -- Howdy, partners! It's that time of year again... time for Vacation Bible School at Zion Community Church, 3261 Zion Road, Bellefonte.
This year kids will travel to Wonder Junction! There is no greater joy than to praise the name of the Lord all day long... let's learn more about who Jesus is and what He has done!

Helping Hands
McELHATTAN -- The Pathway to Christ Church is excited and proud to announce the onset of another great project as they take on assisting the Evangelical Lutheran Church with their "Helping Hands" mission.
Congregation members will be collecting items such as toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, cleaning products, laundry detergent, dental care, trash bags, hair care items, body and hand soap, dish detergent and more.
The collections will end in June and will be delivered to the Evangelical Lutheran Church. If someone is unable to go out to shop for items to donate, the church will gladly accept monetary donations to do the shopping for you.
Prayer Shawl Ministry Meeting
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church will hold their monthly Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting on June 4 beginning at noon. The public is invited to come to the church to see all of the beautifully handcrafted items that the PSM needleworkers have produced over the last month. More needleworkers, those who crochet or knit, are invited to join the PSM group.
Lunch is provided. Donations of yarn and money are needed and accepted at the church for the needleworkers to continue their talent of creating beautiful pieces that are then donated to those in need.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry has a quilt that is being offered to the highest sealed bidder at the June meeting. The quilt was made by Joyce Busch, of Newmanstown. You can call Pastor Susan at 570-726-4112 to have her place your bid in a sealed envelope that will then be opened on June 4. The winner will be contacted immediately and arrangements for picking up the quilt can be scheduled.

Yard and bake sale
BEECH CREEK -- Laurel Run United Methodist Church, 2899 Laurel Run Road, Beech Creek, will hold a yard and bake sale on Friday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Grief Support
LOCK HAVEN -- Community Grief Support is a new opportunity for men and women to gather and seek help together. The next meeting will be on June 10. The group will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge of Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
The support group is free, confidential and open to anyone. There is no work book to follow and no end date. It is designed to become an established, long-term program.
Sharon Gensib and Pamela Brauchli are the facilitators. They will open each session but the discussion will go where the group takes it.
Meet and Greet
LOCK HAVEN -- Walnut Street Church of Christ, 714 W. Walnut St., Lock Haven, is having a "Meet and Greet" on June 14 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome. Come see the church building, have some refreshments and meet the minister.

VBS at Cedar Heights
MILL HALL -- The Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church invites local kids to join them to learn about how Jesus deals with our messes, sins, mistakes and weaknesses.
The Vacation Bible School program will run from June 16 through June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. nightly at the church, 37 Cedar Heights, Mill Hall, on Route 64.
Vacation Bible School is for children from 3 years through fifth grade. Each night children will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks and songs. Pre-registration is available.

BC Wesleyan VBS
BEECH CREEK -- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church Vacation Bible School will be held June 15-19 from 6-8 p.m. each evening.
The program is open to children ages three through teens. This year's theme is "Know It and Grow It Farm." The church has lots of exciting activities planned.
Blood Drives
Wingate Faith Church is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive at the church on June 17 from 12:30-6 p.m. The church is located at 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, which is directly behind the Sheetz store near the BEA High School.
Flemington First Church of Christ will be hosting a blood drive at the church on June 20 from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Organ recital
STATE COLLEGE -- Guest artist Dr. David Billings will be featured in an organ recital at Grace Lutheran Church, State College, on Saturday, June 21, at 3 p.m.
The program is a tribute to retired Penn State Professor Dr. June Miller and her long career of organ teaching and performance. Dr. Billings is a Penn State alumnus and holds a DMA from the Eastman School of Music.
Rocket Racers VBS
BLANCHARD -- Faith Baptist Church in Blanchard will host Vacation Bible School from June 23-27 for children ages four through teens. Rocket Racers, get on track with our powerful God is the theme for the VBS that will be held each evening from 6-8:15 p.m. All local children are invited to attend.
