Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL — Needleworkers will be busy in 2026 making afghans and lap robes, twin bed-sized quilts, baby sweater sets, hats, scarves and mittens. The items are given free of charge to many organizations in the area.
Needleworkers made hats for Robb Elementary children and for a classroom in the Penns Valley area so the children will stay warm this winter.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is not classified as a non-profit organization so they are not eligible to receive grants, and the PSM relies on donations of money or new or used yarn. Donations are always accepted and can be brought to the church during the PSM meetings or by making arrangements with Pastor Susan.
If you crochet or knit and would like to become involved with the PSM, they’d love to have you join us for our next monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at noon. You’ll get the chance to meet their friendly needleworkers and see the creative items that have been made during the last month. A light lunch is provided for those attending.
For more info on the Prayer Shawl Ministry, call the church office at 570-726-4112 and leave a message if Pastor Susan isn’t there to take your call.
