Holy Moments

In honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026, Mike Palischak has decided to do another Holy Moments in History lecture. The lecture will be on Wed. April 15, at 10 a.m., at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall. Palischak has chosen his topic to be about the Father of our Country, George Washington, and the battle for New York in 1776.

Palischak will share with his listeners about how the British had sent their fighting forces to crush Washington and his army, trying to put an end to the American cause for Independence.

The British, led by General Howe and his Brother Admiral Howe, came perilously close to achieving their objective. Although Washington suffered a major defeat, several things happened that prevented complete capulation. Washington would lose control of New York and be forced to retreat across New Jersey into Pennsylvania, but their hope of Independence persevered. As events unfolded, Washington and his army became energized and breathed new life into their dream of Independence.

You won’t want to miss this historical moment in history as we celebrate the inspiration our forefathers had and the events that led to the foundation of Independence for the United States of America.

Starting at $3.69/week.
