Bible Study
LOCK HAVEN — God’s Eternal Life Church, 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. We’re up to the book of Romans now, and will be learning about the meaning of the New Covenant. Please feel free to join our Bible Studies.

Yarn Needed
MILL HALL — The Prayer Shawl Ministry needs skeins of yarn to provide for their needleworkers to use each month to create beautiful items that are then given to those in need. The needleworkers crochet and knit items such as lap afghans, prayer shawls, hats and scarves.
Ollie’s in Mill Hall has a selection of yarn, showing size 4 on the label, that the Prayer Shawl Ministry could use. The yarn is on sale this week, and if you feel led to purchase a few skeins for the PSM that would be wonderful! Yarn donations can be dropped off at Mill Hall United Presbyterian Church anytime. (Place at the door under the ramp so it doesn’t get wet or bring it to the next meeting at noon on Wednesday, June 3, at the church. Call Pastor Susan at 570-726-4112 for more info.
Blood Drives
Local churches will be hosting blood drives over the next several weeks. Blood donors of all types are invited to participate. To find a blood drive being held near you visit the American Red Cross website.

BELLEFONTE — The Light of the World Clothing Bank will be open during the Bellefonte Community Yard Sales on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 145 W. Hot Dog Sale Benefit
WOOLRICH — Woolrich Community United Methodist Church will be holding a Hot Dog Sale/Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m, during the Annual Woolrich Yard Sale Day on May 16. The fundraiser will be at 525 Park Avenue in Woolrich and will benefit the Clinton County Shoe Bank.
Rededication Service
LOCK HAVEN — As our nation approaches the celebration of its 250th anniversary, we are reminded that the foundation of the United States of America is deeply rooted in faith, hope and a dependence upon God. In recognition of this historic milestone, the Clinton County Ministerium invites the community to gather for a special time of reflection and rededication at Triangle Park on Sunday, May 17, from 1-4 p.m.
This gathering will include prayer, reflection and community participation, along with a special recognition of students who have expressed their understanding of “One Nation Under God” through art. It is our hope that this event will inspire both young and old to consider what it truly means to live as a people under God’s guidance.
Ham and Turkey Dinner
WILLIAMSPORT — Immaculate Conception Parish Center, 5973 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, off Route 654, will have a Country-style Ham and Turkey Dinner on Sunday, May 17, from noon to 5 p.m.
The parish parishioners invite you to this spring dinner which includes turkey and ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, noodles, gravy, corn, salad, homemade bread, cakes, coffee, tea and water.
The price is $14 for those age 13 and older; $6 for children ages 4-12 and those three and younger get to eat free. Takeout meals are also available after 1 p.m.
There will be no outdoor concession/games during this spring dinner. Instant Bingo will be available in the dining area. For more info call 570-337-3440.
Helping Hands
LOCK HAVEN — Helping Hands will be open on Wednesday, May 20, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken, in Lock Haven. Helping Hands provides free cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items to low income families and seniors in the Lock Haven and surrounding area. Mobile Food Pantry
BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will host the New Love Center’s Mobile Food Pantry on Thursday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Individuals are invited to come into the church for a short pre-registration before obtaining the free food. Bring along any small boxes or reusable bags that you might have for transporting your food items in lieu of using the pantry’s supply of plastic bags.

Restoration Women’s Conference
A special afternoon of worship, encouragement and powerful stories of restoration will be held on May 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Bald Birds Brewing Company.
During the women’s conference, you will experience uplifting worship, inspiring speakers, meaningful workshops, testimonies, giveaways and fellowship. Lunch will be provided by Gunzy’s.
The conference is presented by Grace Fellowship Church, Avis. Pre-registration is required, and can be done online at www.gfcavis.com, with the $10 registration fee to be collected at the door upon your arrival.

Holy Spirit Parish Cash Raffle
LOCK HAVEN — Holy Spirit Parish is hosting its 2026 “Together We Stand” Cash Raffle, offering 16 cash prizes, including a $25,000 grand prize. Tickets are $20 each and are available at the parish office, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, or after Mass.

Movie Showing
ROTE — Rote United Methodist Church, 102 Beagle Road, Mill Hall, will be showing The Sound of Freedom, a story on human trafficking, on Wednesday, May 27, at 7 p.m. Snacks and water will be available. Come to watch the movie and to learn more about how you can help prevent this from happening in your neighborhood.
Church Yard Sale
ANTES FORT — During the Antes Fort Community Yard Sales, Saturday, May 30, the Antes Fort Methodist Church, corner of Fourth and Main Streets, Antes Fort, will have an Indoor Yard Sale / Food Sale beginning at 7 a.m. Food Items include baked goods, hot dogs, kraut dogs, chili dogs, mac and cheese, breakfast sandwiches and Mr. Sticky’s sticky buns. Proceeds support local ministries.
Food Distributions
— The Food Bank at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church will be open on Tuesday, June 2, from 1-3 p.m. The food distribution is normally held the first Tuesday of each month at the church.
— Blanchard Church of Christ will have their Food Pantry open on June 3. Normally the food distribution would be on June 10, but because the church is having Vacation Bible School during the week, the distribution date has been moved to June 3, from 3-5 p.m., at the church. Bible School Invite
MARSH CREEK — Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church will be having Vacation Bible School at the church on Sunday, June 7, through Wednesday, June 10. All area children (and their parents) are invited.
On Sunday night, there will be a kick-off picnic starting at 5:30 p.m. with VBS following from 6:30-8 p.m. Bring a covered dish to share and come join us!
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings the program will start at 6:30 p.m.
Our theme this year will be “Taste and See that the Lord is Good: Sweet Truths about God.
News from the Pathway pews
MCELHATTAN — Pathway to Christ Church has Bible Study every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the social hall at Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan. Everyone is welcome to join us to study the word and share good fellowship together.
Pastor Laura Gilbert encourages folks of the area to come out to the special events that the church will be participating in. Everyone is always welcome to attend services or to volunteer with the congregation members.
Pathway to Christ Church invites you to be a volunteer with their congregation members at the Food Bank in Williamsport! Carpooling is available from the church parking lot, leaving at 4:30 p.m. We help at the food bank that is held on the third Thursday of each month, so that would be on May 21. If you’re interested in learning more about volunteering at the food bank, just send an email to bpeters388@comcast.net. Some months they are short staffed at the food bank so if you’d like to volunteer with us, please reach out to BJ Peters and she and other church members will be glad to have you come along!
The church is partnering with Wayne Township in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of Independence. On Sunday, May 31, there will be an outdoor worship service with live music that begins at 10 a.m. Bring a lawn chair. After the service there will be an ice cream social. Wayne Township and the church will be offering 3D wooden 250th Anniversary ornaments for $7 each or 2/$12. The ornaments will also be available at the ice cream social. (In case of rain, the worship service will be moved into the church sanctuary.)

BEECH CREEK — Laurel Run Church, 2899 Laurel Run Road, Beech Creek, has created a beautiful family cookbook with many shared and loved recipes. “Breathing in Christ” with Marsha Roscoe
SNYDERTOWN — Join Deacon Marsha Roscoe, spiritual director, coach and author of Breathing in Christ: Experiencing Jesus in an Exhausting World, for a guided, grace-filled morning designed to help you slow down, reconnect and rediscover a more life-giving rhythm. The free event will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m. May 30 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard. Books will be available for purchase following the event for a donation of $20, with all proceeds supporting The Charles Bruce Foundation and its work with those experiencing homelessness. Cash, check and credit card accepted.
