Prayer Shawl Ministry

MILL HALL — The Prayer Shawl Ministry needleworkers met on June 3 at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall. The group is busy making hats and wash cloths for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. The PSM needleworkers have agreed to make 600 hats and cotton wash cloths before November and they are well on their way of making the goal in the next month or two.

We’re also hoping to have a nice selection of afghans and other items that we plan to enter in the Clinton County Fair again this year. Last year we had seven needleworkers win ribbons for their creations and each of the ladies donated their prize winnings towards buying more yarn for the PSM to use.

Anyone who would like to learn to crochet or knit is invited to join us for our July 1 meeting at noon and our skilled needleworkers will be glad to coach and encourage you in your learning process. A light lunch is always provided for those who attend the meeting.

Yarn donations can be left under the ramp at the rear of the building or by calling Pastor Susan at the church office at 570-726-4112.
