Blueberry Festival
JERSEY SHORE -- The Garman Lutheran Church's Blueberry Festival will be held on Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 1779 Sulphur Run Road, Pine Creek Township. Join us for lunch and stay for the goodies afterward. Lunch will include sandwich platters and delicious desserts of pies, sundaes and cobblers. There will be a Trash to Treasure, Raffle Baskets and baked goods available. The basket raffle winners will be drawn at 2 p.m. Winners need not be present to win!
Church Yard Sale
LOGANTON -- St John's UCC of Tylersville, 3782 Narrows Road, Loganton, will be having a large church yard sale on July 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There's something for everyone! No early shopping or sales will be allowed.
Summer Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having their Summer Concert Series each Sunday evening through Sept. 27. All of the concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are free, with a love offering taken during the service.
The Larry DeLawder Family will be in concert on July 12. On July 19 the Gospel Harmony Boys will be entertaining. The Hyssongs and Divinity Trio will be sharing the stage on July 26.

Blood Drives
Local churches will be hosting blood drives over the next several weeks. Blood donors of all types are invited to participate. To find a blood drive being held near you visit the American Red Cross website.
Blood drives will be held on the following dates:
July 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
July 22 from 1-5:30 p.m., at Trinity UM Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding a Red Cross Blood Drive, at the church, on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The drive will be between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, or you may schedule an appointment on the Red Cross website at www.redcrossblood.org. St. Luke's will be serving its world famous root beer floats.
Vacation Bible School
LOCK HAVEN -- The Walnut Street Church of Christ, 714 W. Walnut St., is inviting the area's youth to our Vacation Bible Study in July. The theme "Jonah & Jesus" is about a lot that can happen in three days. The VBS will be July 15-16 from 6-7:45 p.m. There are two age groups: Ages 5-8 and 9-12. Walk by Faith
LOCK HAVEN -- Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, has announced the schedule for its 2026 Walk by Faith program. The program will run each Wednesday at 6 p.m., weather permitting. Walk at your own pace, get lots of fresh air and fellowship with one another while enjoying the beauty of God's creation. Just show up on the scheduled dates and bring a friend. Questions can be directed to Fran Decker at 570-263-2084.
On July 15, the walk will be at the McElhattan Old River Road. Meet in the parking lot.
On July 22, the walk will be at the Woodward Township Walkway. Meet at the church to walk across the Jay Street bridge and on the walkway and back.
On July 29, the walk will be on the levee. Meet at the church.
Walks scheduled for August will be announced later.
St. Paul Food Pantry
MILL HALL -- St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. Summer Outdoor Concerts Series
SNYDERTOWN -- St. Mark Lutheran Church's Summer Outdoor Concert series continues on Friday, July 17, with Woody Wolfe, Jr. providing the entertainment. The monthly series features music from local and regional musicians playing under the pavilion at St. Mark, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with food and the fire pit started to roast hot dogs, Smores and more. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. You are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket, food to share if you like and are able, and to just enjoy some music and time with those of our community.
If there is rain, the concert will be moved indoors.
The last summer concert this year will feature Fishers of Men, who are performing for the first time at St. Mark on Aug. 14.

Fun Fair at Faith Chapel
HOWARD -- Faith Chapel's Bargains and Blessings Community Closet will be open on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in conjunction with the annual Roger White Fun Fair being held at the church. Gently used, good quality clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family are available. Sizes range from infants to 3X and are priced at $5 per bag full. Bags will be provided.
-- Faith Chapel Church in Hunter Run is having their annual Roger A. White Fun Fair and Silent Auction on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the church. There will be a moon bounce, games, food, baked goods, a jello eating contest at 1 p.m. and the Silent Auction winners chosen at 2 p.m. Special guests include a balloon artist and the Bald Eagle State Park environmentalists.

Helping Hands
LOCK HAVEN -- Helping Hands will NOT be open on Wednesday, July 15, at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken, in Lock Haven. Helping Hands provides free cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items to low income families and seniors in the Lock Haven and surrounding area. Helping Hands is usually open the third Wednesday of each month, but not in July. For more information about the Helping Hands program, call Kelly at 272-209-5912.
Helping Hands will be open on Aug. 19, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Mobile Food Pantry
BEECH CREEK -- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will host the New Love Center's Mobile Food Pantry on Thursday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Individuals are invited to come into the church for a short pre-registration before obtaining the free food. Bring along any small boxes or reusable bags that you might have for transporting your food items in lieu of using the pantry's supply of plastic bags.
Pathway News
MCELHATTAN -- Pathway to Christ Church has Bible Study every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the social hall at Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan. Everyone is welcome to join us to study the word and share good fellowship together.
The church is partnering with Wayne Township in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of Independence. Wayne Township and the church will be offering 3D wooden 250th Anniversary ornaments for $7 each or 2/$12.
Pathway to Christ Church invites you to be a volunteer with their congregation members at the Food Bank in Williamsport. Carpooling is available from the church parking lot, leaving at 4:30 p.m. We will help at the food bank on July 16. The Food Bank distribution is held on the third Thursday of each month.
