Fun Fair at Faith Chapel
HOWARD -- Faith Chapel's Bargains and Blessings Community Closet will be open on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in conjunction with the annual Roger White Fun Fair being held at the church. Gently used, good quality clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family are available. Sizes range from infants to 3X and are priced at $5 per bag full. Bags will be provided.
-- Faith Chapel Church in Hunter Run is having their annual Roger A. White Fun Fair and Silent Auction on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the church. There will be a moon bounce, games, food, baked goods, a jello eating contest at 1 p.m. and the Silent Auction winners chosen at 2 p.m. Special guests include a balloon artist and the Bald Eagle State Park environmentalists.

'Rainforest Falls' VBS
BOONEVILLE -- Sugar Valley's annual community Vacation Bible School will be held at the Booneville Campground, Campground Road, Loganton, from July 19-23. On Sunday, July 19, the VBS will be held from 6-8:30 p.m., and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the rest of the evenings.
This year's theme is "Rainforest Falls." The nature of God will be explored in the lush and lively setting of a rainforest paradise overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures. Those in attendance will explore the rainforest and God's nature through a daily skit set in the rainforest. There will also be songs, Bible adventures, crafts, games, science experiments and snacks! Please plan on coming and enjoying this special event at the campground. All ages, preschool through youth, are welcome to attend. If questions, contact Grace at 570-725-3926.
Summer Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having their Summer Concert Series each Sunday evening through Sept. 27. All of the concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are free, with a love offering taken during the service.
On July 19 the Gospel Harmony Boys will be entertaining. The Hyssongs and Divinity Trio will be sharing the stage on July 26.

Blood Drives
Local churches will be hosting blood drives over the next several weeks. Blood donors of all types are invited to participate. To find a blood drive being held near you visit the American Red Cross website.
Blood drives will be held on the following dates:
July 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
July 22 from 1-5:30 p.m., at Trinity UM Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding a Red Cross Blood Drive, at the church, on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The drive will be between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, or you may schedule an appointment on the Red Cross website at www.redcrossblood.org. St. Luke's will be serving its world famous root beer floats.
Walk by Faith
LOCK HAVEN -- Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, has announced the schedule for its 2026 Walk by Faith program. The program will run each Wednesday at 6 p.m., weather permitting. Walk at your own pace, get lots of fresh air and fellowship with one another while enjoying the beauty of God's creation. Just show up on the scheduled dates and bring a friend. Questions can be directed to Fran Decker at 570-263-2084.
On July 22, the walk will be at the Woodward Township Walkway. Meet at the church to walk across the Jay Street bridge and on the walkway and back.
On July 29, the walk will be on the levee. Meet at the church.
Walks scheduled for August will be announced later.
St. Paul Food Pantry
MILL HALL -- St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.
Mobile Food Pantry
BEECH CREEK -- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will host the New Love Center's Mobile Food Pantry on Thursday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Individuals are invited to come into the church for a short pre-registration before obtaining the free food. Bring along any small boxes or reusable bags that you might have for transporting your food items in lieu of using the pantry's supply of plastic bags.
Pathway News
MCELHATTAN -- Pathway to Christ Church has Bible Study every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the social hall at Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan. Everyone is welcome to join us to study the word and share good fellowship together.
The church is partnering with Wayne Township in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of Independence. Wayne Township and the church will be offering 3D wooden 250th Anniversary ornaments for $7 each or 2/$12.
Pathway to Christ Church invites you to be a volunteer with their congregation members at the Food Bank in Williamsport. Carpooling is available from the church parking lot, leaving at 4:30 p.m. The Food Bank distribution is held on the third Thursday of each month.

Ice Cream Social
BOONEVILLE -- The Nittany/Sugar Valley United Methodist Charge will be holding their annual Ice Cream Social at the Booneville Campground, Campground Road, Loganton, on Saturday, July 25, from 4-7 p.m. Various flavors of homemade ice cream and a variety of homemade pies will be available. Hot sausage sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be available for purchase. Join us for an evening of great food and fellowship!
Free Concert
ANTES FORT -- Jersey Shore Assembly of God will present Janet Paschal in concert on Sunday, July 26, at 6 p.m. Janet is a singer/songwriter, author, an inspirational speaker and a Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee. She has performed with Bill Gaither, Jimmy Swaggart and more!
All are invited to the concert at the church at 172 Antes Fort Main St., Antes Fort.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL -- The Prayer Shawl Ministry needleworkers will be entering some of their beautifully crafted items into the Clinton County Fair. Be sure to stop by and see our work. We're hoping to win a few ribbons and prize money that can be used towards the purchase of more yarn. Last year we had seven ladies who entered items, and this year we're expecting more entries.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at noon, at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall. A light lunch is always provided for those who attend the meeting.
Anyone who would like to learn to crochet or knit is invited to join us for our meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at noon and our skilled needleworkers will be glad to coach and encourage you in your learning process. If you already know how to work with yarn and want to become a needleworker with us, come to our next meeting.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry relies on monetary donations as well as yarn donations. Whether it be new skeins of yarn or partially used skeins, we can use it as long as it is clean and smoke-free. Yarn donations can be left under the ramp at the rear of the building or by calling Pastor Susan at the church office at 570-726-4112.
Bible Study
LOCK HAVEN -- God's Eternal Life Church, 30 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, is holding weekly Bible studies each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The topic will be Thru the Bible Word for Word. We're up to the book of Romans now, and will be learning about the meaning of the New Covenant. Please feel free to join our Bible Studies.

Food distribution
BELLEFONTE -- Food distribution will be on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 4-6 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte. Summer Outdoor Concerts Series
SNYDERTOWN -- St. Mark Lutheran Church's Summer Outdoor Concert series draws to a close on Friday, Aug. 14, when Fishers of Men will perform. This is the first time the group has played at St. Mark's and we're expecting a great concert experience for both the group and those attending.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with food and the fire pit started to roast hot dogs, Smores and more. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. under the pavilion at St. Mark, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard. You are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket, food to share if you like and are able, and to just enjoy some music and time with those of our community.
If there is rain, the concert will be moved indoors.

Helping Hands
LOCK HAVEN -- Helping Hands will be open on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken, in Lock Haven. Helping Hands provides free cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items to low income families and seniors in the Lock Haven and surrounding area.
