Summer Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having their Summer Concert Series each Sunday evening through Sept. 27. All of the concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are free, with a love offering taken during the service.
Concerts in September will be South of Mason on Sept. 6, followed by Tru Vintage and the Fuller Family Singers. GloryWay will bring the last concert of the summer on Sept. 27.

Blood Drives
Local churches will be hosting blood drives over the next several weeks. Blood donors of all types are invited to participate. To find a blood drive being held near you visit the American Red Cross website. Walk-ins are welcome, or you may schedule an appointment on the Red Cross website at www.redcrossblood.org.
Blood drives will be held on the following dates:
-- Sept. 8, from 12:30-6 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, Front St., Philipsburg.
-- Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Faith United Methodist Church, Bellefonte.
-- Sept. 14, from 1-6 p.m., at Holy Spirit Parish, East Walnut St., Lock Haven.
-- Sept. 18, from 12:30-5 p.m., at Albright United Methodist Church, Loganton.
Walk by Faith
LOCK HAVEN -- Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, has seen participation in its 2026 Walk by Faith program over the summer months. The walks are enjoyed each Wednesday at 6 p.m. Participants can walk at their own pace, get lots of fresh air and fellowship with one another while enjoying the beauty of God's creation.

-- Sept. 9, Pine Creek Rails to Trails. Meet in the parking lot at Jersey Shore.

-- Sept. 23, Bald Eagle Valley Trail. Meet at the former train station.
-- Sept. 30, McElhattan Old River Road. Meet in the parking lot.
Clothing Center Open

Labor Day picnic
WILLIAMSPORT -- Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Bastress, on Jacks Hollow Road, off Route 654, will be holding their annual Labor Day Picnic on Monday, Sept. 7, from noon to 5 p.m. The picnic will include country style ham and turkey dinner. In addition to the dinner, sandwiches, french fries, funnel cakes, ice cream and soda are available on the grounds, as well as a few games of chance and Bingo. There will also be a variety of homemade jams, jellies and fudge for sale in the summer kitchen. Bingo will be held in the basement of the Parish Hall. Tickets will be $14 for adults; $6 for children ages 4-12. Younger children will be free. Takeouts are available starting around 12:30 p.m. For more info call Jeremy Lazorka at 570-337-3440.
Food Pantry open Sept. 9
MILL HALL -- St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.
Clothing Bank
BELLEFONTE -- The Light of the World Free Clothing Bank will be open for extended hours, beginning Thursday, Sept. 10, from 12-6 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 11, from 12-7 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. In addition to clothing in all sizes ranging from infants to 2X, there is also shoes, bedding, coats and more! Everything is free, but if you'd like you can provide a donation for the church.

Pathway News
MCELHATTAN -- Pathway to Christ Church has Bible Study every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the social hall at Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan. Everyone is welcome to join us to study the word and share good fellowship together.
The church will be offering a pulled pork BBQ meal on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. until sold out. The meal will include a BBQ'd pork sandwich with pepper slaw, macaroni salad, baked beans, a roll and a piece of cake. The cost will be a donation of your choice.
Congregation members continue to serve others of the community. In August several of the volunteers helped to pack 280 boxes of food at the Williamsport food bank. The food will help veterans and others so no one will have to go hungry.
You can be a part of the church's outreach by volunteering to help with packing boxes of food.
Carpooling is available from the church parking lot, leaving at 4:15 p.m. The Williamsport Food Bank distribution is held on the third Thursday of each month, so that would be coming up on Sept. 17. The church members also provided meals and a few minutes of fellowship while dropping them off to folks of the community on the last Wednesday of the month.
Pathway to Christ Church is planning to have their Pumpkin Patch again this year. It is being planned for Oct. 11 and will start at noon. Each child gets to pick their own pumpkin and bring it inside to decorate it. There will also be a hayride. More information will be passed along as the event draws closer.

Bargains & Blessings
HOWARD -- Faith Chapel Church in Hunter Run is taking their Bargains and Blessings Community Closet on the road to the parking lot of Advanced Family Chiropractic, 3076 Eagle Valley Drive, Mill Hall, on Saturday, Sept. 12. Bargains and Blessings will be offering a lot of nice clothing for all ages. Clothing is available in all sizes, from infants to 3X. Shoes and accessories are also offered. The cost is just $5 for a bag full of items. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pot Pie Sale
WINGATE -- Wingate Faith Church will be starting their pot pie sales and running them throughout the fall months. The pot pie comes in both ham or chicken flavors and also comes with samples of homemade bread. The pot pie sells for $9 a quart and is available for pickup at the church beginning at 4 p.m. on the sale dates, until sold out. Come early if you haven't pre-ordered beforehand.
The first pot pie sale will be on Monday, Sept. 14. Mark your calendar for the remaining fall pot pie sales that will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, and also on Monday, Nov. 9.
It's best to pre-order your quarts of pot pie by calling Janette at 814-883-0893.
