Walk by Faith
LOCK HAVEN -- Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, has seen participation in its 2026 Walk by Faith program over the summer months. The walks are enjoyed each Wednesday at 6 p.m. Participants can walk at their own pace, get lots of fresh air and fellowship with one another while enjoying the beauty of God's creation.

Summer Concerts
LAMAR -- Lamar Lighthouse Camp will be having their Summer Concert Series for just two more weeks. The concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are free, with a love offering taken during the service. Bus trip
HUNTER RUN -- The Cheerful Workers group of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church is sponsoring a bus trip to the Grove City Outlet Center on Saturday, Nov. 7, departing the Howard Elementary School at 7 a.m. and returning to Howard around 8 p.m. If you'd like to go along, reserve your seat early. There needs to be at least 40-50 people sign up to go for the trip to happen. The cost will be around $50-$55 per person.

Mega Yard Sale
HOWARD -- Fairview Church will have a Mega Yard Sale at the home of Pastor Dave and Sabrina Etters on Sept. 24-26, weather permitting. The Etters' live along Route 150 directly across the highway from the Twin Kiss Restaurant between Howard and Milesburg.
Donations for the yard sale are being accepted and can be dropped off at the Etters' home anytime or by calling 814-355-2815 to arrange a convenient drop off time so the items can be put under cover.
The money raised from the yard sale will be used by the church to reach out through various ways to those in the community.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL -- The Prayer Shawl Ministry met on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at noon, at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall. There were 33 in attendance, and many of the needleworkers were all smiles when they saw their fair ribbons.
The needleworkers are now gearing up for their annual Knit N' Run with the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club on Saturday, Oct. 3. The needleworkers have made countless items (lap robes, afghans, prayer shawls, hats, quilts and more) that are given to patients in area hospitals and nursing homes. The cyclist will be joining the needleworkers for a brunch beginning at 10 a.m. and you're invited to come to the church to meet both the needleworkers and the cyclist as we share food and fellowship together before they head out to deliver the items.
The next PSM meeting will be held after the Knit N' Run and is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, beginning at noon. A light lunch is always provided (free of charge) to those who attend our PSM meetings.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry relies on monetary donations as well as yarn donations. Whether it be new skeins of yarn or partially used skeins, we can use it as long as it is clean and smoke-free. Yarn donations can be left under the ramp at the rear of the building or by calling Pastor Susan at the church office at 570-726-4112.
Evangelism Workshop
BLANCHARD -- Liberty Baptist Church at 100 Bald Eagle St. in Blanchard would like to invite you to join us for a Free Evangelism Workshop on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in their Fellowship Hall. The workshop will encourage, equip and strengthen believers in sharing the hope of the Gospel within their communities. This workshop will offer practical and easy to remember tools, biblical encouragement and meaningful fellowship as we work together to reach others with Christ's love. Food Pantry open Sept. 23
MILL HALL -- St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. Soup Sale
MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, is having a drive through vegetable beef soup sale on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. until sold out. The soup will be $9 per quart and is available by pre-order by calling the church at 570-726-4112. Leave a message including your name and how many quarts you would like, then come on Oct. 10 and get yours brought right to your car window!
Blood Drives
Local churches will be hosting blood drives over the next several weeks. Blood donors of all types are invited to participate. To find a blood drive being held near you visit the American Red Cross website. Walk-ins are welcome, or you may schedule an appointment on the Red Cross website at www.redcrossblood.org.

You're Invited
MARSH CREEK -- If you're looking for friendly connections, try attending events with congregation members of the Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church. On Sunday, Sept. 27, there will be a fellowship time and potluck. Soup, salad and sharing memories from the summer begins at 6 p.m. Bring some photos of your summertime fun and be prepared to share a little about your unforgettable memories of the summer!
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, the ladies will be getting together for Ladies Class meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the church, while the men will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. for a Men's Bible Study at the home of Tim and Delly Carter, along Summit Hill Road in Marsh Creek.

BELLEFONTE -- Food distribution will be on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 4-6 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte. and Food Offered
SNYDERTOWN -- St. Mark Lutheran Church in Snydertown is holding a Free Book Fair and Costless Closet on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event offers free books and media, puzzles, games, cd's, and also gently used clothing of all sizes. Donations of books and cd's will be accepted, but no encyclopedias. Please bring unexpired food items or monetary donations for the local food banks. Moose Run
The Advent Historical Society announces an upcoming live concert event at the Advent Church, 1303 Moose Run Road, Bellefonte, on Sunday, Oct. 4. The upcoming Octoberfest performance will feature The Little German Band from State College. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m. The concert will be followed by an apple cider and doughnut reception.
This event is free, open to the public and is suitable for all ages. Donations are accepted towards the preservation and upkeep of the historic site.

MILESBURG -- Milesburg Food Bank is open from 1-3 p.m on Tuesday, Oct. 6. This food distribution is held the first Tuesday of each month at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church.

Pathway News
MCELHATTAN --Pathway to Christ Church has Bible Study every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the social hall at Pathway to Christ Church, 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan. Everyone is welcome to join us to study the word and share good fellowship together.
Pathway to Christ Church is planning to have their Pumpkin Patch again this year. It is being planned for Oct. 11 and will start at noon. Each child gets to pick their own pumpkin and bring it inside to decorate it. There will also be a hayride. More information will be passed along as the event draws closer.
You can be a part of the church's outreach by volunteering to help with packing boxes of food.
Carpooling is available from the church parking lot, leaving at 4:15 p.m. The Williamsport Food Bank distribution is held on the third Thursday of each month.

Pot Pie Sale
WINGATE -- Wingate Faith Church will be having a pot pie sale on Monday, Oct. 12.
The pot pie comes in both ham or chicken flavors and also comes with samples of homemade bread. The pot pie sells for $9 a quart and is available for pickup at the church beginning at 4 p.m. on the sale dates, until sold out. Come early if you haven't pre-ordered beforehand. It's best to pre-order your quarts of pot pie by calling Janette at 814-883-0893.
Wingate Faith Church is located at 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, which is just behind the Sheetz store and next to Wingate Elementary.
Mark your calendar that the last pot pie sale until spring will be on Monday, Nov. 9.
Helping Hands
LOCK HAVEN -- Helping Hands will be open on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken, in Lock Haven. Helping Hands provides free cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items to low income families and seniors in the Lock Haven and surrounding area.
