Wolf: PIAA can do what they want for fall sports
From Staff Reports
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf remains steadfast in his recommendation to the PIAA that no high school sports in Pennsylvania be held until 2021.
During a news conference on Thursday, Wolf was pressed about the strong recommendation that his administration released last week. He said he’s not sure what the PIAA could do to change his mind but noted they and school districts can do what they want.
“I’m sorry, that’s my recommendation. You do what you want, and school districts are going to do what they want,” he said.
On Tuesday, the PIAA emailed a letter to Wolf making a case as to why high school sports should continue this year.
