Clinton unchanged; Centre up 30 new COVID-19 cases

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw another increase on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the outbreak first began there have been 185 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.

Centre County saw an increase of 30 cases, a significant decrease from the 92 that were reported yesterday. The current total stands at 1,630 cases throughout the county, the department said.

Lycoming County added six new cases bringing the total to 616, the department of health said.

Statewide, 760 new cases were reported, increasing the total to 148,683 since the outbreak first began.

The Department of Health reported 7,934 deaths on Friday an increase of 21 from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been five confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 11 deaths for Centre County and 23 in Lycoming County.

An estimated 82 percent of patients – about 121,920 people – with the virus have recovered, according to the department.

A total of 1,732,805 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
