Clinton up 1; Centre adds 25 new COVID-19 cases

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 25 cases on Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the outbreak first began there have been 242 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.

Centre’s current total stands at 3,744 cases throughout the county, the department said.

Lycoming County added three new cases bringing the total to 891, the department of health said.

Statewide, numbers have seen an increase with 1,557 new cases reported, increasing the total to 184,872 since the outbreak first began.

The Department of Health reported 8,533 deaths on Tuesday, an increase of 33 from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been six confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 15 deaths for Centre County and 29 in Lycoming County.

An estimated 79 percent of patients – about 146,048 people – with the virus have recovered, according to the department.

A total of 2,155,639 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
