Clinton up 1; Centre adds 26 COVID-19 cases

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 26 cases on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the outbreak first began there have been 218 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.

Centre’s current total stands at 3,197 cases throughout the county, the department said.

Lycoming County added 18 new cases bringing the total to 771, the department of health said.

Statewide, 1,309 new cases were reported, increasing the total to 166,552 since the outbreak first began.

The Department of Health reported 8,272 deaths on Wednesday, an increase of 28 from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been six confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 11 deaths for Centre County and 26 in Lycoming County.

An estimated 81 percent of patients – about 134,907 people – with the virus have recovered, according to the department.

A total of 1,967,542 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
