Clinton up 1; Centre adds 99 COVID-19 cases

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 99 cases on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the outbreak first began there have been 209 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.

Centre’s current total stands at 2,854 cases throughout the county, the department said.

Lycoming County added six new cases bringing the total to 724, the department of health said.

Statewide, 1,161 new cases were reported, increasing the total to 161,284 since the outbreak first began.

The Department of Health reported 8,179 deaths on Friday an increase of 19 from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been six confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 11 deaths for Centre County and 26 in Lycoming County.

An estimated 82 percent of patients – about 132,252 people – with the virus have recovered, according to the department.

A total of 1,904,971 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
