Clinton up 2; Centre adds 42 new COVID-19 cases

Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 42 cases on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the outbreak first began there have been 275 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.

Centre’s current total stands at 4,226 cases throughout the county, the department said.

Lycoming County added nine new cases bringing the total to 988, the department of health said.

Statewide, numbers have seen an increase with 2,641 new cases reported, increasing the total to 1205,517 since the outbreak first began.

The Department of Health reported 8,784 deaths on Friday, an increase of 22 from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been seven confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 17 deaths for Centre County and 32 in Lycoming County.

An estimated percentage regarding those recovered was not immediately available on Friday afternoon.

A total of 2,297,983 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
