Clinton up 3; Centre adds 20 COVID-19 cases

Three new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 20 cases on Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the outbreak first began there have been 217 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.

Centre’s current total stands at 3,044 cases throughout the county, the department said.

Lycoming County added seven new cases bringing the total to 751, the department of health said.

Statewide, 672 new cases were reported, increasing the total to 164,207 since the outbreak first began.

The Department of Health reported 8,227 deaths on Monday, an increase of 11 from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been six confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 11 deaths for Centre County and 26 in Lycoming County.

An estimated 82 percent of patients – about 134,649 people – with the virus have recovered, according to the department.

A total of 1,940,952 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
