Clinton up 4; Centre adds 31 new COVID-19 cases
Four new case of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 31 cases on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Since the outbreak first began there have been 223 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County.
Centre’s current total stands at 3,322 cases throughout the county, the department said.
Lycoming County added 12 new cases bringing the total to 807, the department of health said.
Statewide, numbers have seen another spike with 1,380 new cases reported, increasing the total to 169,308 since the outbreak first began. This increase is slightly larger than Thursday’s and the biggest new case count since April.
The Department of Health reported 8,308 deaths on Friday, an increase of nine from the previous day. In Clinton County, there have been six confirmed deaths. The health department has reported 12 deaths for Centre County and 26 in Lycoming County.
An estimated 81 percent of patients – about 137,139 people – with the virus have recovered, according to the department.
A total of 1,999,765 patients in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
