Borowicz wins another term
State 76th District Representative Stephanie Borowicz won a second two-year term in Tuesday’s election, outdistancing her opponent Joe Waltz by a nearly a 2-1 vote.
Borowicz, a Republican, received an unofficial 10,385 votes to Waltz’s 6,346 votes in Clinton County.
In Centre County, where the 76th District includes municipalities in eastern and northern Centre County, Borowicz received an unofficial 7,464 votes and Waltz polled 2,984 votes, with two precincts yet to report.
All votes are unofficial as there are still mail-in ballots in both counties to be counted. Any mail-in ballots received by Friday and postmarked on Election Day, Nov. 3 are eligible to be counted, according to election officials.
