City to hold comprehensive plan workshop tonight

LOCK HAVEN – City staff will be on-hand tonight from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hangar 1 of the William T. Piper Memorial Airport, 353 Proctor St., Lock Haven, to hear from members of the community about its 2020 comprehensive plan update “Destination Lock Haven.”

Residents will have the chance to speak with City Planner Abbey Roberts as well as members of The EADS Group and Upstreet Architects, contractors hired to assist with putting together the plan.

“We are excited to be back to in-person workshops, but we will still respect health and safety guidelines,” Roberts said. “There will be plenty of space to spread out and masks will be required.”

The workshop is one of many the city has held in 2020, both virtually and in-person, in an effort to keep residents engaged in the process.

Every 10 years the city updates its comprehensive plan, using it as a guideline to make the best economical decisions for the area.
