Clinton up 21; Centre adds 11 COVID-19 cases
COVID-19 numbers in Clinton County saw a bit of a jump Tuesday while Centre saw a significant decrease.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Clinton County added 21 new cases of COVID-19, increasing its total to 775 cases since the outbreak first began. Centre County saw just 11 new cases. Its total stands at 6,398.
Throughout the state, the DOH is reporting 5,676 new cases of COVID-19. The total statewide stands at 367,140.
The DOH also reported 180 new deaths as a result of COVID-19. A total of 10,563 Pennsylvanians have died from the virus.
Statewide 4,631 people have been hospitalized with the virus with 970 of those in the intensive care unit. Most of the recorded deaths and hospitalizations are in those 65 or older.
As far as negative tests are concerned, Centre County has seen 47,358 residents test negative. Clinton County has seen 6,156 residents test negative.
Lycoming County added 43 cases on Monday. It’s total now stands at 2,243.
