Clinton up 20; Centre adds 130 new COVID-19 cases
New coronavirus numbers locally and statewide saw a jump compared to this weekend’s numbers.
On Monday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that Clinton County added 20 cases of COVID-19, 10 more than were reported on Saturday. Its total now stands at 2,437. Centre County added 130 cases – compared to 74 on Saturday – of the deadly virus. Its total now stands at 10,655.
Throughout the state, there were 7,910 new cases of COVID-19. That brings the statewide total to 807,867.
One new death was reported in Clinton County, increasing its total to 47 since the outbreak first began. In Centre County, 185 residents between the ages of 55 and 104 have died - two of which were added on Monday.
The DOH reported 138 new deaths statewide for a total of 20,664 deaths attributed to the virus.
As far as negative tests are concerned, a total of 7,825 Clinton County residents have tested negative. A total of 56,103 Centre County residents have tested negative.
In Lycoming County, 89 new cases of COVID-19 were added to the count on Monday. Its total now stands at 7,799.
