DLH announces schedule change for Pedestrian Mall

LOCK HAVEN – Those who haven’t had the chance to dine on Main Street this summer will only have two more chances to do so.

Changes have been made to the Pedestrian Mall’s schedule, leaving only two more street closures ä Aug. 27, 28 and Sept. 10, 11.

“As summer unfortunately is coming to an end, we had a few small changes in regards to the Pedestrian Mall and Market Village on Main. There are only 2 more Saturdays left for the Market and only two weekends that the Main Street will be closed,” Downtown Lock Haven Inc. Manager Kira Rosamilia said.

The Pedestrian Mall was originally slated to continue until the end of September, but changes were made, Rosamilia said.

The discontinuation of the Pedestrian Mall for the summer will also mark the end of the Market Village on Main, which is conducted during the closures in the East Main Street Parking lot. With assistance from city government, DLH was able to get the bi-weekly market started. Since the beginning of summer, multiple local vendors such as Pole Cat Hollow Farms, It Is What It Is, Simone’s Bakery, Clinton County United Way and more have taken part in the weekend market.

The Market Village on Main will be open the same Saturdays as the Pedestrian Mall from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
