MILL HALL – Central Mountain High School students and staff were put under a brief shelter-in-place on Wednesday afternoon due to an off-campus incident.
Keystone Central School District Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin released the following statement:
“Around 1:30 p.m., we were notified of a potentially dangerous situation off school property, but near the CMHS campus. Out of caution, Principal (Nick) Verrelli called for a “shelter in place” at 1:33 p.m. A few minutes later we were notified by the PA State Police that the area had been secured and there was no longer a safety concern and the shelter in place was lifted.”
PSP Lamar did not offer further information regarding the incident off-campus. A representative told The Express details regarding the incident would be released at a later date.
